Story
We found Belle when the Humane Society took her in from her previous owners and she was tied to a tree and used as a Puppy Mill momma. When the Humane Society took her in, she weighed 68 lbs. Belle has been with us for almost three years now, she's at a healthy weight, good with children and cats and just loves to live lazily around the house. She loves people, finally, after her trust was taken. As Belle has gotten older, she has gotten more and more unfriendly with the other female dog in our home. They've gotten into it a couple times and there's really no trigger. It happened once about a year ago, and then out of nowhere happened again recently. This is the reason we are looking for someone who loves Great Danes and has no other dogs to adopt Belle. Belle is a wonderful animal. She's sweet, loving and lazy. She's been through trauma and that's understandable. We are looking for an understanding home that will let her live out the rest of her life in bliss.

This is Gracie! She is a sweet and loyal young pup! It's difficult for us to imagine why anyone would move out and leave such a great dog behind, but that's exactly what happened. She stayed put on the front porch waiting for her family to come back. After some coaxing, a kind neighbor was able to encourage her to come with her, leading to her rescue. Gracie is safe now and learning to trust again. We have promised to find her the "forever" she deserves! Gracie is loving, energetic and curious - she loves to explore and sniff all the smells! She will need a family that can match her energy level (that of a typical young pup). She is house and crate-trained, but definitely prefers to be out and about with her person! After being in boarding for a few months, Gracie is finally back in a great foster home with three other dogs and this is what they had to say about her: "She is a love bug, frequently follows her foster mom around. She gives the best kisses and sits like a champ on command! She has never had an accident in the house. She is super curious about everything and learning how to play ball. She is a REALLY good dog!!!" Gracie is wonderful dog who would be a joy to spend time with! We love Gracie, she shines at our adoption and other public rescue events - we have no idea why no one has snatched her up!
