Penny is up for adoption! Penny is an adorable 3 month old puppy. Her mama, Grace a mix of Pit/Great Dane/Boxer has passed down her gentle and loving nature to Penny. She has a slight black tip on her tail and white socks on her feet which distinguishes her from her siblings. While we don’t know who dad was, we anticipate Penny and her siblings will grow into medium to large-sized dogs. Born in our care, Penny has been surrounded by love and attention from the very beginning. She’s playful and full of puppy charm, ready to bring joy and laughter to her forever home. Penny is very curious and likes to explore new spaces. She LOVES people, grownups and kids alike. She lives in a foster home with 2 cats and respects their space although she’d really like to play with them! Penny is very sociable and has done very well with other dogs she’s met. She is learning to walk on a leash and knows how to ‘sit’. While very independent, Penny likes snuggling for a nap and longs to be with her humans getting all the attention she can. Welcome Plainer to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 4-year-old Great Dane. She came in with a male Great Dane and she does great with him. She has a little grey on her muzzle and she smiles and wrinkles her nose. She then puts her head in your hands. It was startling the first time we saw her wrinkle her nose. We thought it was a negative indicator but the more we worked with her the more we knew it was her way to smile. She is adorable. She is moderately active and would be fine with a lower energy family. She will be fine as an only pet and she would be fine with children. She is an adult so you won’t have all the puppy antics to put up with. She is good in her crate and good on a leash. She is currently going to be cleared for the heartworms and then spayed and readied for her forever home. Welcome Jinx to CCPAL Rescue. Jinx is a 2 year old Great Dan mix. He is tall and lanky like the great Dane and has the shy quality. He is a good weight and he is good with other dogs. He has lived with a large female and male in his home. He does know sit and is good on leash. We assume he is potty trained as he had an older man owner. His owner is in hospice care and is not doing well. A good Samaritan stepped up and helped them. She asked CCPAL to take them in and help them find a new forever home. He settles down nice and likes to lean in to his person. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. We would love someone familiar with the Dane personality or someone who has had a large breed dog before. He would be a great man dog. He takes direction well and bonds deeply very quickly. He naturally likes men as he lived his life with one. He would be content being the only dog or being with another dog. He is not the dominant one of the 3 pack. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast.
