He is very loving, sweet, affectionate, and friendly. He is smart and eager to please. He gets along well with other dogs and loves to play in the pool. He is gentle and mild-mannered. Story
June is a survivor.  She was found in an old barn, very malnourished and weak.  She has apparently been on her own for a while, struggling to survive.  She is currently being treated for a double ear infection and tick fever (ehrlichia).  The ehrlichia and anemia are causing her to have trouble walking. She is very weak in her back legs. June is about 40lbs underweight and receives frequent feedings to build up her weight to a more normal size of 90 pounds.  All of these issues are easily treated with time and care and we are already seeing improvement in her. She is very friendly, affectionate, and loves human interaction.  We don't know much about her history but appears to be very receptive to all the care and love she is receiving at the shelter. She will be available for adoption once she is at a healthy weight and able to be spayed. If you would like more information, please contact our shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet.March 22, 2025, 2:12 pm

Story
Sugar showed up on our farm right before a big storm, and has been enjoying tagging along while we look for a permanent home for her. She is malleable girl, she loves to run and play with our two Shepherds but she’ll cuddle on the couch for hours. We are unsure of her age but she has grown some, we estimate 8-10 months, as she has not had her first heat cycle yet and is intact. Sugar is showing some attachment behavior, I belive she would do well in a home with another young dog or with an active owner.

Story
Meet Willow, a gentle 2.5-year-old Great Pyrenees weighing in at about 86 pounds, who’s ready to steal your heart! Fully microchipped, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventions, Willow is a loving girl with a playful spirit. She adores chasing squirrels and birds, and while she loves a game of fetch, she might just decide to keep the ball for herself! Soft and affectionate, she delights in hugs and kisses from her humans. Although she gets a bit nervous around the iRobot and fireworks—often running inside to hide—she’s a brave and resilient girl at heart. Willow has been thriving in a lively foster home with her Golden Retriever brothers, and she’s very protective of her 4-year-old human sister while remaining curious about her 1-year-old sister. House trained and crate trained, Willow will let you know when she needs to go outside with a gentle bark. While she’s still discovering her preferences with other female dogs and isn’t a fan of cats, she’s a true treat-lover—eating treats delicately from your hand—and she even knows how to sit on command! Having completed her heartworm treatment and finishing up her crate rest, Willow’s new adopter will receive 12 months of Heartgard to keep her healthy and heartworm-free. If you’re looking for a devoted, playful, and protective companion, Willow is ready to bring love and joy to your home. Adopt Willow today and let her light up your life! $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Adoption Fee (includes transport to your area)
