Story
CJ is another example of a perfect Great Pyrenees. This breed is exceptional and CJ will make a great family dog, adventure pal and companion like most. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in Kern County. He is being fostered with 3 other large dogs and is having the time of his life. CJ is a cuddle, a player and a perfect pup. He will benefit from basic training to help him with self esteem and communication since he is still a big puppy. He is 8 months old and weighs around 80 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.

Story
RODEO HAS GOTTEN ALONG WITH DOGS WE HAVE INTRODUCED HIM TO THAT ARE HIS OWN SIZE. PROPER INTRODUCTION WOULD BE NEEDED TO EVALUATE IF HE'S GOING TO GET ALONG WITH AN EXISTING DOG IN A HOME BUT BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE AND STRENGTH, WE BELIEVE HE WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR A DOG HIS SIZE. APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES IN AN ADULT-ONLY HOME (NO APARTMENTS) WITH A PRIVATE YARD. RODEO is the definition of a Rhinestone Cowboy! Not only does he have stunning good looks, but his DNA results prove that he is quite a unique gem of Great Pyrenees/Aussie/Border Collie. Our rescue has been working with a certified professional dog trainer to help us get to know Rodeo and set him up for success. Rodeo is an incredible dog that would do best with an adopter that has experience with the large working breeds and structure in the home. He would not be a good dog for a first-time dog owner. Mostly comprised of Great Pyrenees, he has the potential to be protective of his family. He doesn’t know his own strength and size at times, so we have been working on him staying calm and focusing on his handler. Because of Rodeo’s grand stature, he would require a home with a yard (NOT AN APARTMENT) and no small children that he could inadvertently knock over or small pets. Rodeo estimated date of birth is January, 2019. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and whoever is lucky enough to adopt this rooty tooty cowboy will get an in-home dog training lesson as part of his adoption. Now that’s something to YEE-HAW about! --- If you are interested in adopting Rodeo please fill out our adoption application by clicking this LINK. Story
Crazy for Daisy! A SOULMUTT in the making, Daisy is the sweet, cuddly girl who’s stealing hearts left and right! At just 10 months old as of August 2024, Daisy makes a huge impression on everyone who meets her. She is well on her way to becoming an amazing companion. This unique Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd/Aussie Shepherd mix (please someone do a DNA test on this beauty) with one blue eye is a gentle soul, ready to bring joy and love into her forever home. Daisy is dog-friendly and would thrive with a male companion, even a smaller one! She met a cat once briefly and didn’t seem to react, but further cat testing would be needed to know for sure. Daisy’s gentle demeanor and loving personality make her an ideal family dog—she’s been wonderful with children and people of all ages. In her foster home, Daisy is doing great with housebreaking and has even mastered the dog door! She loves going to the park, meeting new people, and making furry friends. This big girl teddy bear is as easygoing as they come—she lets you trim her nails, brush her, and cuddle her to your heart’s content. Daisy has been spayed, is current on vaccines, and is microchipped, so she’s all set to roll in to her FURever home. At 63 pounds and growing, Daisy would do best in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and play. She’d love to share her home with another dog (preferable male) and would make a fantastic addition to any family. One thing’s for sure: anyone who welcomes Daisy into their life will be gaining an extraordinary and uniquely loving companion who will fill their days with joy and endless devotion. Daisy’s story is just beginning, and we hope you will be a part of it. Whoever brings Daisy into their life will be making a decision that brings them an incredible amount of love and happiness. --- If you are interested in adopting Rodeo please fill out our adoption application by clicking this LINK.
