Story
Jasper is a 3.5 year old male Great Pyrenees and we adopted him 2 years ago at Great Pyrenees rescue Atlanta. He is energetic and playful, he will do great at a family with a large backyard, with no other dog and young children(but he does awesome with teenagers! He isn’t aggressive to young children, it’s just that he is 140lbs, younger children don’t bare his force well during play). We found out that he has addison’s disease and is getting percorten V injection every month to keep him in a healthy condition, the continuing medical expenses should be carefully considered for anyone who wants to adopt him. Jasper needs an experienced owner, He is potty trained but need consistent behavior training ongoing basis. If you are able to work with him he can be a great companion!

Story
Hi there, I'm Cleo—a fun loving and smart Great Pyrenees mix with a dash of Great Dane in my looks. I’m just over a year old (5/28/23), weigh around 60 pounds, female and already spayed. I'm on the lookout for a special family who can appreciate my unique personality and needs. Personality and Preferences: Loves Activities: Count me in for car rides, walks, backyard adventures, or just lounging on the deck watching the world go by. Affectionate and Alert: I adore snuggling with my people and take my job of patrolling the backyard seriously. Intelligent and Playful: I'm a quick learner and enjoy mental stimulation, especially with chew toys and sticks. House Trained: I've got this down pat! No accidents here. Dislikes Crating: I prefer to have my space and freedom. Play Style: I love a good play session and have a natural instinct to chase. My play style is very physical with other dogs, some call it rough, so I might do best as the only pet or with a male dog my size or larger, with proper introductions. Leash Manners: While on walks, I bark at dogs when I see them. Offering me a treat helps distract and refocus me. Resource Guarding: I guard my favorite things like socks, but I'm willing to trade for a treat—I'm a smart negotiator! Ideal Home: My perfect home would be with someone who's around most of the time and has a big fenced yard where I can bask in the sun and stretch my legs. A single person, a couple, a family with older kids -- all will work for me. I thrive on human companionship and get along well with everyone I meet. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's both sweet and smart, I could be the perfect match for you. Let's meet and see if we're meant to be family!   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
Meet Beary Tree   Beary Tree is a stunning, 3 year old, Great Pyrenees mix. He weighs about 65 pounds. He has a medium energy level, is house trained, and working on crate training, but does well out in the house when left alone.   This guy is Mr. Charisma. He loves everyone and everyone loves him.  He loves car rides and walks. Hikes are a big hit with Beary Tree too, but he can be barky when approaching other dogs. He is working on this and is making progress. His fluffy coat is silky soft and invites many pets which works for him since he feels that there are never enough of those.   He loves hanging out in the yard, so a fenced yard is a good idea for this guy. Beary is a very intelligent dog who enjoys having something to do whether it is working on training, hiking, walking or whatever activity you love, he is up for it. On the flip side, he is also a big fan of daytime naps and just hanging out. Beary will do best in a home where he is your one and only four legged family member.   This sweet boy is a joy and loves his people. He is going to be a great addition to a lucky home. Story
Hello, future best friend! My name is Joe and I cannot wait to give you all the hugs you can handle. I'm a gorgeous Great Pyr/Aussie mix who loves people. If you're searching for a big, fluffy companion, look no further!    I expect a lot of pets from my humans. In fact, I'll conveniently place my head beneath your hand to make it even easier for you. Are you watching a movie on the couch? Move over and I'll give you all the affection you need.    I'm a great boy on a leash, turning heads whenever I go on long walks. And I would love a fenced in yard to run around because when I'm not cuddling, I have energy! Not to brag, but I'm also perfectly potty trained and crate trained and I do really well in the car. Kids? Yes, please! I give great hugs.    The one thing I cannot deal with is...cats. Even though I'm a big boy, cats are my Kryptonite. Sometimes I don't get along with small dogs, either. (I have lived with a dog sibling before and we were best buds.) But I need a cat-free and tiny-dog-free home please.   Also on my wishlist: a family that enjoys teaching me new tricks because I love training and using my smarts!    Basically, I'm the biggest sweetheart. But don't take my word for it, here's what my best human friends have to say about me: "he's a big love bug and incredibly intelligent." Joe is an amazing boy who loves everyone." My foster mom says I'm the most loving and affectionate dog she's ever met and she's so impressed with me.    My new family is in for a treat! Story
Meet LuLu our gentle giant, a 1 and a half year old Great Pyrenees who weighs a friendly 81 lbs. LuLu adores people of all ages and children and is always up for a playful romp. She also has two feline companions in the current household. What this sweet dog truly desires is a warm and loving family, a spacious yard for endless fun, and a home filled with hugs and happiness. If you have room in your heart and home for this delightful canine, you’ll be rewarded with boundless affection and joyful companionship. LuLu has been in our home since she was 8 weeks old and has been a beautiful, loving companion who likes lots of hugs. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, it breaks my heart to have to give her up. My heart would be full to see her with a loving family who will take good care of her. All shots up to date for the year, crate and food provided too.

Story
Meet Saul - Hi everyone! My name is Saul, and I am a 4-year-3-month- old Great Pyrenees with the whitest coat around! I currently weigh around 96 pounds, and I am fully grown. Everyone here says I am the biggest cuddle bug around. I love all people and will let you pet me whenever you want as I thrive off of human interaction. When I see you approaching me, I will let out a low howl to show off my excitement. I DO NOT like other dogs or cats. I have been briefly tested on a leash with goats and chickens and I was ok, but we do not know how I would do once I get comfortable. I have the best leash manners as I do not pull and will walk right beside you at a slow pace (I like to take my time). I am however VERY leash reactive when taking a walk if other animals are around, as I don't like them. I do like to keep my kennel clean, but that's because I am a gentleman. I love being outside and will lay out in the sun and take a nap all day if you let me. I do have a lot of fur, but I don't mind being brushed at all - it makes me look even cuter! I am very protective of my people and will guard you. I need to have a large fenced-in area, maybe even a farm, but I also love a family to spend time with inside. My ideal home would be with an experienced Great Pyrenees dog owner who is a strong dog handler, that way I can thrive in my new home and be set up for success. If you are interested in learning more about me, please stop by the Humane Society of Forsyth County, Tuesday through Thursday between 11 am and 5 pm and Friday and Saturday between 1 pm to 5 pm. I will be waiting patiently to greet you! Love, Saul!

Story
He is a super sweet boy around the age of 1 year old. He is Great Pyrenees and completely white in color. He loves loves to walk, play with other dogs and good with kids. Unknown on the cat part and doesn’t seem to have a prey instinct at all. He would need to be in a home with a fenced in yard and he isn’t fond of a dog crate at all. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
