Great Gertie came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 12/01/23 and she currently weighs approx. 35#.We are guessing at her breed make up. She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. Her adoption donation is $350 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with her forever home. ##2015702##

She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 11/11/22 and she currently weighs 68#. We are guessing at her breed make up, but she does have double dew claws. She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is heart worm & tick illness negative. This girl has a lazy tongue that always hangs out of her mouth. We had it examined while she was under for her spay and there is nothing wrong with it. Her adoption donation is $250 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. Oswalda is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Oswalda is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - Currently taking medication for anxiety support - Has a fracture on the tip of her canine tooth, which may require radiographs and possible future extraction, at her adopter's expense More about Oswalda: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: Yes, she has done well in her crate when home alone for up to 4 hours, and overnight. Leash walking: She has been doing well on leash, though can become nervous in busier areas. She would do best in a quieter, lower-traffic neighborhood. Dog social: She did well in living with another dog in her prior foster home Cat social: Unknown, but she lives with guinea pigs in her foster home, and has not shown much interest in them. Kid friendly: Unknown Oswalda likes: - Getting hugs from her person - Sniffing and exploring new paths on quiet walks - Gently putting her paw on the sofa to ask for your permission to come up and join you Oswalda is a gentle and well-mannered girl who is new to Chicago, and has been adjusting to her new life in the Windy City! As such, she can be a bit nervous in busy areas and with some strangers, and will need a patient adopter who can give her time, space, and treats to help her warm up and build confidence as she acclimates to her new environments. She is the sweetest, calmest dog, and it is so rewarding once you win her trust! Oswalda's adoption fee is $300, and she is eager to get all the hugs from her forever family!
