Story
Chase doesn’t say much — but he doesn’t have to. There’s a quiet strength in him, the kind that doesn’t come from confidence, but from surviving when things weren’t kind. He’s gentle. Watchful. The kind of dog who feels more than he shows. He came in from the cold with his brothers, unsure of people and the world around him. We soon noticed something else: one of Chase’s eyes hadn’t fully developed. It doesn’t bother him now, but to give him the most comfortable future, we’ll be removing it this week. He’ll have one eye, but it won’t stop him — not when he’s already come this far.Chase is a classic Pyrenees at heart: calm, independent, and incredibly loyal once he chooses you. He isn’t going to bounce into your lap — but if you move slowly, speak softly, and let him set the pace, he’ll quietly move closer. And one day, when you’re not expecting it, he’ll rest his head against you — and that moment will mean everything. He needs a calm, predictable home with someone who gets that trust isn’t something you take — it’s something you earn.Chase has made it through the storm. Now he just needs a home that will give him space to heal, grow, and finally feel safe.

Story
Meet Chester — A Gentle Soul Searching for His Second ChanceJust a few weeks ago, Chester and his five brothers were found wandering through the ice storm — lost, cold, and unsure of the world around them. Life hasn’t been easy for this sweet boy. Whatever his past was, it left him cautious and quiet, choosing to stay on the edges of things rather than the center. But behind those soulful eyes is a heart that wants to trust — and every day, he’s getting a little bit braver.Chester recently had his very first full groom, and he handled it like a champion. Now that he’s clean, brushed, and feeling a little more comfortable, he’s starting to show signs of who he could become with time and patience. He’s slowly beginning to walk more confidently on leash, and while he still prefers to observe the world from a safe distance, he’s showing us glimpses of the dog he’s meant to be.Chester isn’t the kind of dog who will immediately run into your arms — but he is the kind of dog who will someday rest his head on your lap and know he’s finally home. He needs a family who understands that trust is earned slowly, not demanded. A calm, predictable environment where he can build confidence at his own pace will be key. Although he came in with his brothers, Chester is ready to start focusing on his story now. He’ll need time to adjust, so the best home for him is one where he can be the center of someone`s world for a little while. This boy has so much potential. With love, patience, and reassurance, Chester is going to blossom into the kind of loyal companion people dream about. He just needs someone willing to show him that the storm is over — and he will never be left out in the cold again. If you have a quiet heart and a warm home, Chester is ready to meet you.
