Story
We think it’s high time for Maverick to find his wingman, or wingwoman. He was running loose and living under a vacant trailer for a couple of years and had to be trapped by the amazing Duck Team 6.  He arrived here with skin issues and very little hair.  He was standoffish and unsure of his new life style. He has made a huge turn around and not only sporting a beautiful coat but a wonderful personality.  He is very unhappy when cats or dogs come into his space and barks in hopes that they will leave. He will probably be happier as an only pet though he has had a couple of dog buddies that lived next to him. He would thrive in an all adult home. ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. All dogs and puppies require VISIBLE fencing Adoption fee: $300 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350, The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350. GPRS has proudly placed thousands of Great Pyrenees and GP mixes in the PNW for over a decade. Our volunteers have over 100 years combined experience fostering, screening, and placing this majestic breed into loving, forever homes. When adopting from us, you can rest assured that we provide life-long support and advice when it comes to your new family member. Story
Say hello to Bowie. When Bowie came to us from a Texas animal shelter as a stray, he was a mess - dirty, matted, malnourished and his coat was dull and thin in places. But after some good groceries, lots of TLC and a trip to the groomer, you have a dog that is a diamond in the rough. He has a gorgeous face and tail that shows what this handsome boy will look like when he is finished being polished! He stays out of his crate most of the day either lying beside her on the cool tile or beside her on the sofa wanting to play, or in the yard playing with the resident pawsibs. This sweet boy loves attention and petting and has been known to pass out a few kisses! Bowie wants to be wherever you are. Born around August 2019, he is young, playful and would do well with a resident canine companion and a secure, fenced yard to romp and play in. He is housetrained and sleeps well in a kennel all night without a bark or whine. He eats well, does not counter surf, but does look to see what’s for dinner on the kitchen table. He’s very much a gentleman and is respectful in the house and does not run indoors. He plays well with the resident pawsibs, ignores the foster Mom’s birds, and though he doesn’t play much with toys, he likes to chew on bones. He rides well in the car but is lacking in the desire to get in the car and walk on a leash, which will come in time. This boy is going to make someone a great companion! Don’t pass him up -- you’ll be glad you didn’t! Bowie is available for adoption in Texas only. Story
Hello! My name is Shep, and I’m a handsome Great Pyrenees with soft, gentle eyes that match my demeanor. Born in August 2022, I began my life with a family that didn’t treat me well, but luckily the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society took me in and my life has been changed forever!  At first, I had a hard time trusting humans, but my foster dad and his little pup Finn worked really hard to earn my trust.  I gradually began to realize that my foster dad is pretty alright, and my confidence started to grow. One day I released a joyful bark as an experiment to see how my foster dad would react, and he came close, gave me a gentle pat on the head and a kiss on the nose. That sealed the deal for me, because I knew at that moment that I was safe.  Now, I’m a super happy and playful pup with a smile for miles!  I love to explore my surroundings, and I’m super curious about the world around me. I love to play with the other dogs I live with, and I’m great with kids too.  And I really love my humans, especially when they give me lots of love, ear scratches, and belly rubs. Who doesn’t love that?  I’m a sweet and affectionate guy with a very loving disposition. I’ve been told that I’m a remarkable and gentle soul of a dog who has overcome great adversity in my life….all I know is that I have a heart full of love and I can’t wait to share it with my forever family!  Shep is available for adoption in Texas only. Story
Hi I am Leonardo- a Great Pyrenees born around August 2020. I'm good with all sizes of dogs and love my furry foster siblings (a Chihuahua, Rat Terrier and Great Pyrenees).  I can be a bit selective when it comes to other male dogs so best to take introductions slowly.  I even like the cat!.  I prefer to sleep on the doggie bed and sometimes get into trouble for counter surfing but we are working on that!  I’m doing pretty well learning my commands and have mastered stay, sugars (kisses) and come.  I’m working on “sit” but haven’t been convinced to do that one yet.  I love my foster family and do great with the kids.  When it comes to meeting strangers, I may be a bit hesitant at first but once I have a chance to do a bit of sniffing, I am fine. I am not a fan of playing in water, but I do love to drink it!  I’m a big gentle giant that just wants to be loved and love back and can be a bit of a leaner when I’m getting pets. Story
Meet Sulas, affectionately known as Sully, the lovable bundle of quirk ready to steal your heart! Born in April 2022, Sully is a stunningly handsome boy with a charming personality, ensuring he’ll make a lasting impression wherever he goes. This big playful goof is always up for a romp with his foster sister Mita, especially if it involves zooming around at record-breaking speeds and splashing through rain puddles. Despite his playful nature, Sully also has a mellow side and enjoys lounging around and contemplating the world around him. He's affectionate in his own laid-back way and loves nothing more than a good cuddle. Sully has outgrown the typical puppy antics and now boasts top-notch house manners and a repertoire of basic commands. Sully is an easy companion to have around with his excellent leash skills and his willingness to head to his crate, especially if there's a delicious treat waiting for him.  Sully thrives on running and playing at the dog park, so a spacious yard or easy access to a nearby park is essential for his happiness. While he's not a fan of cats or small dogs, Sully gets along famously with bigger canine companions and people of all ages and sizes.  Sully could thrive as either an only dog or alongside a compatible female friend, especially if it’s his foster sister, Mita.  So, if you’re looking for a huggable, lovable companion with a penchant for puddle-jumping and a heart full of love, Sully is your guy. Come meet him—you won’t be disappointed! ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. Story
Hi there, I’m Lolly, and let me tell you, I’m a real catch! I’m super easy to love, and I’ve got plenty of love to give right back. I’ve perfected the art of the classic Pyr-lean, so when I cozy up next to you, it’s my gentle way of asking for some extra loves. If you’re working from home, you’re in luck—I’d make the perfect office buddy because I’m polite, low-maintenance, and won’t interrupt your Zoom calls—unless you need a little smile, then I’m your girl! I was born in May 2021, and I’m always happy, perky, and full of smiles! I absolutely adore being outside, where I can run around with my tail wagging blissfully and a twinkly grin on my face. Belly rubs are my absolute favorite! I’ll flop on my back just to show off my playful side and get some extra rubs from you. Believe me, I can turn even the most mundane moments into a party! I’m pretty easygoing and could be your one-and-only, but I also do great with older kids who get my happy energy. I’m known for hanging out with the kids at the bus stop, leaning in for some love and giving them all my best smiles. Even though I’m crate-trained, I’m perfectly fine being left out in the house when you’re gone – I won’t chew anything up, I promise! I do great on walks and listen well, plus I’m a fabulous car rider. Honestly, I’m pretty much the whole package! So, what do you say? Story
Pip's Bio 9 Year old Female -75lb-Great Pyr Mix Spayed and all up to date on shots (except Kennel cough) we never put her in a Kennel and she doesn't come into contact with other dogs Great with People and Kids - patient/indifferent Needs a fenced Yard -Initial reaction to strange dogs is - assert dominance. She used to live with her big brother Great Pyr (he passed a few years ago) mix but she was introduced as a puppy.I walk her with a gentle leader and am very aware of other dogs and cross the street to keep our distance She is very content to spend her day in the yard - prefers vs being in the house even when it is snowing or raining - unless the temp is over 90 Ideally she would love for her family to spend the day out with her in the yard where she can watch over them. We need help. She is a beautiful dog that has been loved her whole life. Unfortunately the next steps of mine will make it very uncomfortable, almost impossible, to meet her needs, for that reason we need help.

Story
Meet Marshmello & Beethoven, these Great Pyrenees are about 1.5 years old and about 65lbs. These incredible pups were found running along a very busy highway in a huge storm on Monday, January 8, 2024. They were thin, soaking wet and starving. They were terrified of people and acted like they had been cared for with a very heavy hand. They are bonded and love to sleep together. They also enjoy their time apart. They like walking between your legs and getting their ears scratched. They like being outside and spending time with the family. They like baby talk. They love giving kisses now and have an easy temperament. They are non-reactive to other dogs, even when other dogs are barking around them. They will lay around in the kitchen while you are cooking. An ideal home is one where they are together. They can be in a multi pet home and enjoy kids of all ages. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
This cutie is Alfie. He is about 7 months old, and we think they may be a Great Pyrenees mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! He will likely only be medium sized when full grown. What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his life as well as the life of another in its place. Alfie is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! Alfie is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/663195c2ee88173e5f0de9b1 Please email cynthia@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Loving, obedient, smart and easy-going? That’s Doris! A wonder dog through and through, this girl is great with kids, great with other dogs, highly trainable and treat motivated. She’s super smart, goofy, and so much fun! If you’re tired of playing- she doesn’t mind, she’ll just play with her toys by herself! She’s excitable but not too energetic to handle, lovey but not overly pushy about it, loyal but not too “velcro,” this girl is just the best of ALL worlds! If you are looking for a pup with a great personality, an interactive playfulness, who is smart and also super cute, I’ve got one for you! Her name is Doris Day! She is confident, engages quickly and easily with people, and is quick to give you her full attention in the name of a treat or a play session. Fall in love with Doris here: https://youtu.be/GOr51oL73W8?si=ooLf2DqUfNc7t7fF With a treat offered she will go right into focused-mode with an automatic sit and her full attention on you. That quality typically translates into a dog who trains with ease. Doris loves toys and when offered one will do a happy bounce as soon as she has it in her mouth. But don’t worry, she didn’t mind sharing with the other dogs or handing it over when asked. This girl is going to be on the larger size once full grown, currently believed to be in the 8-9 month range, she weighs 53 lbs and stands on long legs. Her parents are suspected to be a great pyrenees and a shepherd but in rescue we can never guarantee these details. She is 100% good dog, fluffy, beautiful and ready for a life of love! Doris is easy on leash, she’s still polishing her skills but with a little bit of practice this girl will be an awesome adventure dog! With how sociable and sweet she is, this girl will be so easy to take out and about! She’s not a barker, and greets all strangers with love and affection. Doris has met children ages 3-17 here at the rescue, and she’s done well with all of them! Doris can sometimes let her puppyhood get the best of her, and sometimes paws at kids or forgets her size, so she may be best suited for a home with older children, or dog-savvy little ones that are used to bouncy, fluffy goofballs like Doris. Doris is so much fun to be around and has her own little sense of humor! This girl does silly little dances while she plays, makes goofy faces for treats- she’s just a great time! When she was introduced to other dogs she showed her puppy nature, meeting dogs with a lot of enthusiasm- she was ready to play! Once the yard had a variety of dogs introduced she quickly found a favorite in a similar sized dog about her age who was just as playful. Doris would naturally love a playmate, one who was slightly older who could teach her the ropes would be great but given her confidence and smarts, she is perfectly suited for only-dog life as well. A few toys, adventures with you, and walks around the block to greet the neighbors would be plenty to keep her happy and fulfilled! Let Doris Day dance her way into your heart, soft kisses and playful love guaranteed! If there is anything not covered here that you are curious about, please be in touch! Be are committed to ensuring Doris is the right fit for you and your life. Email: kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions!
