Story
Please contact Fran Kreger (k9kids4adoption@gmail.com), (541) 926-5629 for more information about this pet. This is Nick.  He’s our 118 lb, 5 year old, big handsome and very loving Great Pyrenees/Beagle/Staffordshire Terrier mix, that unfortunately we can’t take care of to rightly meet his needs   He belongs outdoors much of the time, but we do not have the yard anymore to give him the room he needs.  We did 4 years ago, but because of our remote location and a family illness, we were forced to move back to Albany, and could not find a similar property.   He needs a new home, a loving family, preferably with some property for him to enjoy the outdoors, and ideally, the ability to go out and in when he wants (ie., a doggie door).   He has atopic allergies of the skin which makes him very unhappy at times.  He never had problems when we were on property, so we suspect a lot has to do with being cooped up in the house too much.  He gets apoquel to help mitigate the symptoms, and often we have to increase his dosage temporarily to get over flareups.   He has pee and poop accidents inside, more frequently of late as his symptoms have worsened in the winter, part of what makes it difficult to take care of him along with his itching.  Unlike out at the country house in his first year and a half, where he never had these issues and was essentially house-broken.   Please, if you are willing to take on a loving dog and have the right kind of setting, we believe he’ll thrive again.    Sadly, we will be forced to consider euthanasia as a last resort, if we cannot find him a good home.  He is a wonderful boy. Just needs the right family. Older children and room to enjoy some outdoor time. Feel free to email k9kids4adoption@gmail.com for an application, or more information. Then we can set up a visit.      January 15, 2025, 12:14 am

Story
Hi there! My name is Whiskey, and I`m on a quest to find my forever family! I may be a bit shy when I first meet new friends, but give me a little time, and I promise I`ll warm up to you. I would love a home with a big yard to play fetch and zoom around in. I have lived with children and other dogs previously. When in comes to playing with other dogs, I like to be the leader of the pack. If you have dogs in your home, I’d like to meet them to make sure we are a match before joining your family. I am under medical evaluation but hope to find my forever home soon.

Story
Meet Willow, a gentle 2.5-year-old Great Pyrenees weighing in at about 86 pounds, who’s ready to steal your heart! Fully microchipped, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventions, Willow is a loving girl with a playful spirit. She adores chasing squirrels and birds, and while she loves a game of fetch, she might just decide to keep the ball for herself! Soft and affectionate, she delights in hugs and kisses from her humans. Although she gets a bit nervous around the iRobot and fireworks—often running inside to hide—she’s a brave and resilient girl at heart. Willow has been thriving in a lively foster home with her Golden Retriever brothers, and she’s very protective of her 4-year-old human sister while remaining curious about her 1-year-old sister. House trained and crate trained, Willow will let you know when she needs to go outside with a gentle bark. While she’s still discovering her preferences with other female dogs and isn’t a fan of cats, she’s a true treat-lover—eating treats delicately from your hand—and she even knows how to sit on command! Having completed her heartworm treatment and finishing up her crate rest, Willow’s new adopter will receive 12 months of Heartgard to keep her healthy and heartworm-free. If you’re looking for a devoted, playful, and protective companion, Willow is ready to bring love and joy to your home. Adopt Willow today and let her light up your life! $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Adoption Fee (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Valentine! ❤️ Valentine got her name because she was rescued on Valentine’s Day—a true symbol of love and second chances! She was found living in a junkyard with the help of a kind-hearted Good Samaritan, but now she’s safe, warm, and thriving. This sweet girl adores stuffed toys and belly rubs and is great with other dogs and kids. She’s a little shy at first but quickly warms up with love and patience. Valentine is learning to walk on a leash and working on potty training like a champ. Special Note: Due to her time in the junkyard, Valentine has a few hairless spots. While we’re hopeful her fur will grow back, the vet mentioned that some follicles might be permanently damaged. But that just makes her even more special! Valentine is ready for a forever home filled with love—could that be with you? Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
