Story
We adopted Lola at a Subaru Adoption event. She was a COVID baby and abused before we got her. We were informed that the previous owners kenneled her, didn't house train, and was teased by their children. Younger and shirtless children frighten her. We have had a range of cats with her and some rats. She seemed to get along with most other pets but, the most recent cat addition to our house she did not get along with. We highly recommend her being the ONLY dog. She has a tendency to get jealous otherwise and may cause the other dog harm. Lola is an absolute cuddle bug. She loves to play with toys that have squeakers and fluff. She's slightly food aggressive with special treats like pig ears but otherwise willing to share her food. She is currently house trained and trained to sit, lay down, paw, hand touch, and look at you for commands. We have brought her to behavioral training for help on her barking and listening. This is still being worked on. Lola's favorite treat is whip cream.

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet  Dolly , the spirited and lovable Great Pyrenees/Pit Bull Terrier mix who’s ready to bring joy and laughter into your home! At just 6 months old and weighing 35 pounds,  Dolly  is a medium to high-energy pup who adores attention and playtime. One of  Dolly ’s most endearing habits is her talent for gathering multiple stuffed toys and proudly carrying them all at once—talk about impressive multitasking! She’s already learned to sit for treats and will go to the door when she needs a potty break, though her excitement sometimes gets the best of her.  Dolly  is a big fan of stuffed and crinkly toys, walks, and fetch. She dreams of a fenced yard where she can safely chase squirrels and enjoy her playful antics. While  Dolly  can be a bit socially awkward with new dogs and needs slow introductions, she quickly settles in and shows her sweet side. Crate training is going well for  Dolly —she’ll go in for treats and settles down after a brief whine. She walks nicely on a leash and is a calm car rider.  Dolly  would thrive in a loving home with a yard, where she can enjoy cuddle sessions on the couch, fun walks, and lots of playtime. If you’re looking for a loyal and trainable companion,  Dolly  is your girl. Bring this bundle of joy home and watch her fill your days with happiness!    Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. August 17, 2024, 11:52 pm

Story
Meet cuddly Mario. He is a brown, dusted with black, and white Great Pyrenees mix born 12/25/2022. He is going to be big! He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and has been given a ProHeart 6 for heartworm protection. His adoption donation is $450.00 and the transport fee $165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
