Story
Jazz is the perfect mix of active and relaxed! He enjoys a good walk or run in the morning and evening but is content to lounge around for most of the day making him a great fit for a full-time working household. He would suit an active couple or family with kids aged 7+ and, while independent, he does love some company. Jazz may thrive in a multi-dog household where he can have a furry friend to keep him company. If you're looking for a well-balanced, friendly greyhound who enjoys both adventure and relaxation, Jazz could be the perfect match!

Story
Otis is a very smart and affectionate dog who thrives on attention and companionship. With two teenage daughters and increasingly busy schedules, we’ve found ourselves away from home more than expected. Otis really needs someone who can be around consistently—he does best when he has company. He has a habit of marking indoors, so having someone who can take him out for regular walks and be present with him is ideal. I typically walk him about two miles a day, though he probably doesn’t need quite that much—he just enjoys being close to someone. Otis gets anxious during car rides and vet visits, and sometimes needs a mild sedative to help him stay calm. He’s incredibly sweet and loving, especially with children. He gets along well with other dogs when he’s off-leash, but can feel threatened when leashed around them. One of his favorite things is snuggling up on the bed, especially with kids.

Greyhound fun facts

Fun Facts:

Greyhounds are the fastest of all dog breeds, with the ability to run up to 45 miles per hour! The fastest speed for a racehorse is 43 miles per hour. It only takes Greyhounds three strides to get to 30 mph.

Greyhound does not actually mean grey-colored dog. The name comes from the old Saxon word "grei," which means beautiful. This is perhaps because it is so beautiful to see a greyhound running at full tilt.

The Greyhound has a much more peripheral range of vision than most other dogs. They can see 270 degrees, whereas humans can only see 180 degrees. As sighthounds, they have long been used in "coursing," which is where dogs hunt by sight instead of smell.
