Story
Meet Weaver, a sweet ~8 years young spayed female beagle/shepherd mix, weighing about 30 lbs! Weaver was seen being dumped out of a pick up truck at a car wash in east TN (sadly, dumping/abandoning dogs is very common in this area). She was dumped on a street called Weaver Pike, which is how she got her name. Fortunately for Weaver, she was taken into rescue and is now ready to find her furever home and put her past behind her!
Weaver is a sweet, friendly girl who is good with other dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats.
From her foster: "Weaver is very sweet and gets along well with other dogs. She has low-medium energy and is a great size pup! She is amazing with house training and her tail never stops wagging!! Despite her hound heritage, she doesn't appear to be much of a barker. An easy girl!"
She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this darling gal today!
Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
