Story
Look who's back! Tawny is a 4-year-old, 42.2-pound Beagle mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. She likes to say she's back by "paw-pular" demand! When Tawny first came to us, she was a bit shy and very thin. Since then, she has blossomed, gaining weight and confidence, and she now loves meeting new people.Tawny was adopted but recently returned due to not getting along with the cats in her new home. Her previous adopters shared that she is housetrained, great with children, and gets along well with other dogs. Tawny is a playful and active girl who would thrive in a fun and engaging home. She is a sweet and affectionate companion who would do best in a cat-free home. If you're looking for a loyal and loving friend, Tawny is the perfect match for you!

Story
Hi, I'm Bambi! I am a 23#, female, Beagle mix. Sweet as sugar, friendly as a morning sun, and curious as a cat. I'm a dog, though. Don't let that cat part confuse you. My goofy side? Let's just say I once tried to outsmart a squirrel for his acorn. Spoiler alert: I lost, and ended up here at the shelter. I'm loyal too, stuck around to see if that squirrel would share his acorn. No luck. But hey, it's not all acorns and squirrels. I'm a smart cookie, well, minus the squirrel incident. Adopt me and you'll never have a dull moment, I promise!Update 7/3: Bambi was found to be heartworm positive today at the vet. What this means is that Bambi will need to undergo treatment as heartworms disease can be life-threatening if not caught in time. We do not want this sweet girl to sit here in the shelter as she undergoes this extensive process so we still have her available for adoption. If her new family wishes to continue her treatment through the shelter, she will be a foster-to-adopt until the end of medications. This would mean she can stay in the comfort of her new home until she is healthy and ready to be officially adopted. The foster process includes an orientation and regular trips back to the shelter for vaccines, weigh-ins, and general check-ups, and returning for treatment until heartworm treatment has been completed. The shelter will provide all supplies and socialization protocols.
