Story
Meet our sweet gentle little, Edgar. He is about 18 pounds and was born on June 24, 2024. At only 6.5 months old this little guy is learning so much about life and the safety of rescue. Edgar loves other dogs and is gaining confidence and trust from them, so we are requiring he go into a home with another resident dog.  Edgar has learned to trust people and has learned to have fun with toys, chasing balls, playing with all size dogs and he LOVES a comfy spot to curl up and cuddle in! He is also crate trained and almost potty trained! He has been around children and cats, as well. Loud noises do startle him so no small children under the age of 10-12 years old, please. Edgar started out life in Oklahoma in an unhealthy breeding situation so he arrived very scared along with several other beagles. After a combined effort of two rescues to release them from this breeder, he now only knows what human kindness, soft pets and what love is about! Oh and treats he discovered how delicious they can be! Edgar is looking for a forever friend/family that wants to watch a gentle timid puppy grow into a confident happy companion. If that's your family and have a resident dog and no small children,  please apply at www.HavenAnimalRescueNebraska.org DONATION ADOPTION: $450.  INCLUDES: Neuter, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and wormed. INSIDE ONLY! PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
