Story
I found Sprocket as a kitten separated from his litter living underneath a dumpster behind the Durham bike co-op in October 2022. (Hence the name!) Sprocket had a large head injury and I took him to the Durham APS for treatment and temporarily fostered him before deciding to adopt. Sprocket was understandably shy and afraid coming home after what must have been a traumatic kittenhood. Still, despite an affectionate home and love from my older cat, he has only grown increasingly reserved. Recently, he has become almost impossible for me to care for since he is terrified of me and will react with violence whenever I try to approach him. I want a better life for him. Despite trying to work with the vet, I think I unfortunately no longer have the time or resources to give Sprocket the attention he needs. He seems to respond more positively to other humans, sometimes even coming and taking treats from them! I'm confident that in the right home, he can become a loving, cuddly cat.

Story
Ollie is an energetic 2 year old tabby. He is healthy and house trained but after raising him for these couple of years I came to the conclusion that being indoors is not suited for him. Ollie can be sweet but does not get along well with other cats, and because of how much energy he has an outside environment would be best for him. I trust he would be a great worker on a barn! I am looking for an owner who will give him love but also space, he is not a cuddly cat but still likes being around and chooses when he wants to cuddle. I am seeking a home that will allow him to be either an indoor/outdoor mix or completely outdoors. I hope to find someone who will take care of him with love and seeking a long term pet. He is fine around dogs, but does not take kindly to other cats. I am not entirely sure how he would be with children but it would be best if he was not stuck inside as he gets very energetic.

Story
Ming Mow is a mother of 4 beautiful kittens that live on my back porch. She has never shown any aggression towards me and in fact brought her kittens one day to me when I did not even know she was a mother. She responds to her name and calling and walks up to me every time I walk outside. I think she has a lot of potential in being a great house cat. She is overall healthy and has shown no signs of being aggressive.
