Story
2-year-old One-Way is an adorable tuxedo cat who is the perfect mix of silly, sweet, and sassy. One-Way joined Ten Lives after a Good Samaritan found her hiding in a bush next to a highway onramp and brought her to Providence Animal Control. When we found out that she had been in the shelter since November, we knew we had to get her into our foster program. One-Way has adjusted well to foster life and loves wand toys, catnip, and lounging on her foster parents' bed. Her silly side really shines when she's chasing her rainbow wand while running in and out of her tunnel. When she is not playing, One-Way enjoys rolling around in catnip or licking a tasty tube treat. One-Way would like to find a home where she can be the only cat. If you think One-Way might be a good match, please submit our adoption application! ___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
Ideal Home: Cool, Calm and CollectedQualities: Mellow, Independent, AffectionateWe are delighted to introduce Perry, a charming 9 year old gentleman who is looking for his forever home to spend his golden years. His favorite things include treat testing, condo climbing, and bird watching!Perry is a very polite panther with people and has been showing off his affectionate side. He has been adjusting quite nicely since arriving at Ten Lives and has picked his foster dad as favorite person while he awaits his forever people to find him- he can often be found curled up on his chest making biscuits!Perry is a firm "no thank you" on dogs but doesn't mind the company of other friendly felines with the proper introduction. At 9 years old, Perry may need some time to settle into his new surroundings as all of this is very new to him. Before you know it, he will be comfy and showing off his true colors. He was previously an indoor/outdoor kitty and we think he would adore a catio or screened in porch to appeal to his inner panther, but a big window to bird watch from is equally pawsome in Perry's book! He is FIV+, but he is a happy, healthy, and ready to relax and play for all his ten lives. If you think you could be Perry's match, he hopes you will fill out an application today!Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below. https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/______________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives!
