Story
Hi there  My name is Love and here is some info about me. Breed: Havanese/ Shih TzuAge: 2 yearGender: FemaleWeight: 8 kg Hi, I’m Love! I’m a 2-year-old female Havanese - Shih Tzu  dog with a big heart and an even bigger capacity for love. I was rescued from an abusive owner who did unimaginable things to me—things no one should ever go through. Despite my rough start, I’ve managed to keep my heart open and full of love to give. I’ve been living with a wonderful lady and some furry friends. I get along well with all humans and dogs, although I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet. Since my rescue, I’ve made great strides in my recovery. I’ve been practicing walking on a leash and I know where to go potty. How cool is that! I’ve never shown any signs of aggression or resource guarding. I love hanging out with my friends, but most of all, I enjoy spending time with my human. I dream of having a loving forever home someday soon, where I can go on daily walks and adventures with my family, creating lots of happy memories. When on walks, i tnd to make many friends and I greet everyone in a very polite manner.  Inreally enjoy chasing after anything that resembles a ball, and cant get enoughof doggie toys. It would be so wonderful to have my own toys one day. Please consider making me a part of your family. My big heart and amazing demeanor will prove to you that you’ve made the right choice. I can not wait to meet you and shower you with doggie kisses and hapy tail wags! Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems! Basic training should be taken seriously and should begin within a couple weeks or so AFTER arrival. Check out courses in your local area and enroll right away. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Health notes: None I have been vaccinated and microchipped. I have also been spayed. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2141465##
