ADOPTION PENDINGHello, I'm Blossom, I'm a 5 to 6-year-old Havanese rescued from a commercial breeding farm. My early life was difficult, but Homeward Bound Rescue saved me and placed me in a wonderful foster home where I'm learning to trust and receive unconditional love. I'm still a bit guarded, but as time passes, I'm becoming more comfortable with my surroundings and the other dogs here. While I don't seek out attention, I do enjoy quiet moments with my foster mom. I'm not fond of loud children or hyper dogs, but I do well with more mature individuals. My foster home is great, but I long for a forever home where I can continue to flourish.Home requirements for Blossom Fenced yard! A farm would be too overwhelming for her. Q: A multi family residence such as a semi,Apartment or condo, or detached single family home? Why?A: blossom would do fine in any type of home as long as she isn’t left for extended periods of time. She can bark a little when she hears a loud noise. She would also be better without too many stairs as she is still trying to learn how to go up and down them. Q:A family with young kids, teenage kids, or no kids at all? Why?A: older children would be fine but due to her fears of touch she would not be good in a home with babies and toddlersQ: A home with residing with seniors?A: she would be a perfect seniors companion, she is not active and thrives in a quiet, calm environment. Q: Are there any behaviours or quirks that we should make a potential adopter aware of?A: Just that she is very timid, in time this will change and a different dog will appear. She has already come a long way in her time with us. She needs someone who can take their time and allow her to come to you. She so badly wants to forget the past and be loved like she deserves.
