Hello, my name is: JimmiesDOB: 03/15/2023Sex/Breed: Neutered male HavaneseWeight: 8.3 lbsFriends: Dogs and cats (kids unknown)Traits: Shy, loving, energetic, devoted Rescued From: Breeding kennelDespite being scared, Jimmies has been nothing but sweet since he arrived at his foster home. He very much wants to be loved, but isn't sure humans are trustworthy yet. He is reserved when it comes to his foster parents, but is very bouncy and playful when he is with his canine foster friends. Because of the confidence and comfort he finds in other dogs, we will be looking for a home with another small dog for him. He bonds very quickly with his furry friends and does everything they do. He even tries to play! Jimmies is working on his training, but seems to be treat motivated. Once he gains some confidence, we think he'll be a quick study. Right now, he is afraid of a leash, so a home with a securely fenced area would be ideal for his training. He needs a family who is up to helping him become the confident, loyal companion he is destined to be! Meet Polly. Polly is a small, sweet senior havanese gal looking for her forever home. She is 8 years old and only 12 lbs. She loves everyone and always so happy. She is great with dogs but would also be very happy as a spoiled only dog. Polly has a lot of wonderful years to share with you. Loves being scratched and petted. She will explore our yard with our dog and then run to check where you are. Polly prefers to be out of a crate and with you so will do best in a home where someone is there most of the time. She is doing very well with potty training as long as you're consistent and invite her outside on a regular schedule. She will sleep all night.  She was excellent with our grandchildren.  Polly is a good car rider too and seems to enjoy walks not in the heat. This lovely girl is a puppy mill survivor, so every simple nicety is a luxury to her. Can you give her the loving home she's been waiting for for so long?  Polly is now spayed, up to date with vaccines, had a dental cleaning and a benign mammary tumor removed. She still has lots of love to give and looking for a forever retirement home. Her adoption fee is $300.00. Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable commute from the foster home for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit Meet Buddy! Buddy is a 17lb Havanese mix estimated to be between 8-10 years old. This little guy was brought to the shelter after being found as a stray. He was suffering from a great deal of neglect. Since finding himself in rescue, he has been neutered, had a dental which resulted in the loss of 17 teeth, had bladder stones removed and had to have a hernia repair which took three attempts before finally being fixed. Despite everything he has been through, this little guy could not possibly be sweeter!! Buddy has the best personality! He is an active little guy. He loves to go on walks and really enjoys zoomies in the yard. Buddy has great vision and hearing and is potty trained. He gets along really well with both large and small dogs. He does however prefer to live with calm female dogs!! Smart guy! He’s also shared a home with toddlers and older children and was a perfect gentleman with all. Buddy loves to sleep in bed with you and won’t make a single peep through the night. He’s a quiet pup, but will bark and whine for a bit when you first leave the house. This gets better with time once he learns you’ll always come back for him! He is not destructive, and can be trusted with free rein of his environment. Buddy bonds very quickly to his people and just wants to be by your side. He hopes for a home with people who can be around a lot! Buddy has received a clean bill of health, however because of his hernia repair he will require a life long soft food diet and medication to promote a healthy GI function.

Story
Kobe is a sweet 3 year old dog who loves all the attention. He’s a calm dog that rarely barks (unless someone is at the door or he sees another dog). He would fit in wonderfully with a family who is active and has the space to allow him to run. He is crate trained and prefers to sleep in his crate around 9pm. We travel a lot due to AAU and my youngest son (6) is allergic to him even after 3 years with us. We are looking for adopters that are no more than an hour or two away from the Lehigh Valley.
