Story
🐾 Meet Remington 🐾 A good boy who’s never truly been given a fair chance.
Remington’s story isn’t an easy one to tell—but it’s one that deserves to be heard. This sweet, gentle soul was given away on social media to his last owner, only to end up surrendered to the shelter because there wasn’t enough money, space, or time for him. The other dog in the home bullied him, stole his food, and left him physically and emotionally worn down. He’s lost 10 pounds since May, and you can see it in his eyes—he’s tired, confused, and in need of someone who will finally choose him for good. At this time, we don't believe that he she be in a home with other animals until he has healed emotionally.
Despite everything he’s been through, Remington still wants to love and be loved. He’s great on a leash, enjoys spending time with adults, and finds comfort in his favorite things—pig ears, rope toys, balls, and chew toys. They’re his little pieces of joy in a world that’s been far too hard on him.
He’s lived completely outdoors, so he’s not yet house-trained—but that’s not his fault. He’s never had a home where he was treated like family. He’s never had a warm bed or a door to come inside—just grass, weather, and waiting. With patience, kindness, and consistency, Remington will absolutely thrive.
He hasn’t lived with young children before (only with kids 13+), so a calmer home would likely help him feel more secure as he decompresses. What he needs most right now is a soft place to land, a safe place to heal, and a person who sees the incredible dog he still is underneath the hurt.
❤️ Remington is not broken—he’s just been let down too many times. If you’re ready to offer him the love and stability he’s never had, he’ll give you the most loyal heart you could ever ask for.
