Story
Who’s ready for the love of their life? This blue eyed cutie was born around the holidays. Her mom was hanging around a sawmill when she had her litter; the guys tried to take care of them and then asked JCAPL to help. One of her siblings had a DNA test done, and we believe her to be a husky/american staffie mix. She’s weighing in at 22 pounds at 15 weeks so we expect her to be on the large side. She loves to run and play with toys! She loves every dog she meets and will be your little “shadow” when working in the yard or house. She’s a great snuggler and craves attention. She has such an expressive demeanor and seems to know exactly what we are saying to her. She even flexes one ear up and one ear down at times too! She is crate trained and learning leash manners and house training. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be submitted online, or sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner’s White Oak Shopping Center. We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application. ***Please Note*** This pup has not yet been altered and requires an extra $100 spay/neuter deposit. JCAPL will pay for the procedure at a partner clinic and once completed, the deposit will be refunded to the adopter. However, a non-local adopter is required to pay for the spay/neuter at their own veterinarian by a specific date. After proof of the procedure is provided, $50 of the adoption fee will be refunded with the deposit. Thanks for thinking adoption!

Story
Hi, I'm Prancer! My mom had our litter at a sawmill, where the guys tried to take care of us and then asked JCAPL to help. One of my sisters had a DNA test done, and they say I'm a husky/american staffie mix. Mom is around 60 pounds so I expect to be a big bundle of joy when I grow up! You can see me with my siblings, who are also ready for adoption. Obviously I'm the cutest, with my beautiful blue eyes with eyeliner and speckles on my nose and ears! I love playing tug of war with rope toys and figuring out puzzles. I’m really curious and love exploring. My foster mom calls me a cuddle bug, because I love snuggling when I’m sleepy. I’m really good with other dogs and I find cats interesting. I like to follow my cat sibling around and try to mimic her actions. I’m not sure she likes that. I just learned how to climb stairs and that’s a lot of fun. My adoption fee includes spaying and vaccinations, but I'm too young for all of that yet. I'm trying hard to learn good household manners, like crate-training and potty-training. If you love cuddles and play time and want a smart, loyal, and goofy friend, then I’m your gal. I’m looking forward to meeting you soon. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
Hi, I'm Rudolph! My mom had our litter at a sawmill, where the guys tried to take care of us and then asked JCAPL to help. I'm the only pup who's a brindle like her. We don’t know my dad, but we think he may have been part husky because I’m already a big puppy! Mom is around 60 pounds so I expect to be a big bundle of joy when I grow up! You can see me with my siblings, who are also ready for adoption. Can you believe they called me the "runt" of the litter?!? Well, I took that as a personal challenge, and now I am as big as all my sisters--maybe even bigger! My adoption fee includes spaying and vaccinations, but I'm too young for all of that yet. I'm trying hard to learn good household manners, like crate-training and potty-training. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen?
