Story
Meet Jasmine, a 4-year-old female Husky/Shepherd mix.Jasmine is a great girl! She is also known as Jazzy to some of our staff due to her happy, enthusiastic nature. She keeps a clean kennel at yhs and is good on her leash. Jasmine enjoys treats and good scratches. She has these great eyes that are so expressive and beautiful. When Jasmine gets excited she gets the zoomies and becomes vocal which is super fun and cute to watch. Jasmine has met many other dogs, both big and small, while with us and has done well with them all. Her current play partner is Nickolas and she would love a home with another dog but would also be fine as a single. She rides well in cars and is a lot of fun to be around. Jasmine would make a great hiking or jogging buddy as well. Come meet Jasmine today! This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don`t Shop.

Story
Meet Stevens, a four year old Siberian Husky mix.Stevens is a handsome boy who weighs in at 70 pounds. He goes a little cross eyed when he looks at stuff and that just adds to his charm. Stevens has gotten in trouble with livestock in the past which is how he came to us, so we recommend a home with no livestock. This is extremely common with the breed and should not be held against him. He has managed to escape one of our backyard areas by digging so we don`t recommend leaving him outside unsupervised and bored for long periods of time. However, he has come right back up to staff when we noticed he was gone and was just chilling with our outside cats, so he may be okay with cats. He has also met other dogs while with us and has done very well, happy to coexist and play. Stevens walks well on leash and is a bit aloof to strangers at first but then will come in for some loves on his own time. He would probably prefer a home with no young kids right now but would do fine with some older kids. This independent guy will win you over if you give him a chance. Come take him for a walk today.
