Hi there! I'm Scotty, a playful 1-year-old boy who was surrendered to Big Dog Ranch Rescue because my owner could no longer care for me. I'm excited to find my forever home and share my love with a new family! I have a moderate energy level, so I enjoy plenty of playtime but can also appreciate those relaxing moments. I'm great with both dogs and people, and I love making new friends! One of my absolute favorite things is splashing around in water! Toys are a big part of my life, and I love to chase, fetch, and tug on them. I also thrive on affection; there's nothing better than snuggling up with my humans after a day filled with fun and exploration. I'm looking for a loving home where I can be part of the family and share lots of cuddles and joy. If you're ready for a spirited companion who's eager to fill your days with happiness, I might just be the perfect fit for you!

Hi, I'm Ron! I was originally picked up by Animal Care and Control and brought to the Ranch all the way back in 2014. I've been in a couple of homes, but they haven't lasted due to my quirky behaviors. I require a special handler for a special dog, because I can be pretty anxious in a home, I don't like to share my stuff, and I'm a total introvert. That means I need to be properly introduced to strangers and should not live in any home with children or frequent guests. That doesn't mean I don't like people though, cause once I open up I'm the sweetest, most loyal boy you'll meet. I love other dogs and even cats as well! Plus, I'm super food motivated and have learned some tricks. I may be an old boy, but I do like to roam, so I'd like a nice yard, maybe with a pool too! I'm not too fond of small spaces like crates, you see. I'm looking for a retirement home to finish out my golden years, and if you've got the skills for the job, this old dog can learn some new tricks! If you're willing to open your heart and home to me, you'll be rewarded with a sweet, happy boy with nothing on his mind but treats, naps, walks, and ear scratchies!

Amidst the COVID-19 upheaval, his owner grappled with unemployment, leading to a painful separation that almost sent Vinnie to a high-kill shelter in North Carolina. Fortunately, Big Dog Ranch Rescue became his sanctuary. Since January, this exuberant lad, with a penchant for bones, has held onto hope. Eager to please and always enthusiastic, Vinnie does need a bit of leash guidance, but his dedication is unwavering. Vinnie does like most dogs but needs a proper introduction to any dog. And to sweeten the deal, Big Dog Ranch offers a complimentary training session upon his adoption. As the festive season approaches, Vinnie's wish is to celebrate within the warm embrace of a forever family. Could you be the one to make his dreams come true?
