Story
Meet Rina, the sweet and gentle Terrier mix with a heart full of love! At 10 months old and weighing 5.5kg, this dainty girl is ready to find a forever home where she can truly blossom. Rina was rescued from a high kill shelter, but you’d never guess her tough start by her kind and affectionate personality. Rina is a natural sweetheart who loves people, both familiar faces and strangers alike. She’s happy to receive gentle pets and will even roll over to show her belly once she’s comfortable. Though she’s friendly, Rina has a quiet, sensitive side—large crowds or noisy environments can make her feel a little nervous. She’s polite around children, showing little interest, and can be comfortably handled, even being picked up or touched all over. With other dogs, Rina’s sweet nature shines through. She greets both familiar and new dogs with friendly curiosity, especially those around her own size. If another dog tries to pick a fight, Rina would rather walk away than engage. She’s not overly dependent on canine companions but enjoys playing when the opportunity arises. When left alone, she can keep herself entertained but does appreciate having a friend nearby. Rina shows no interest in chasing cats during walks, making her a great candidate for homes with feline family members. Her energy level is on the lower side, preferring cozy naps and peaceful downtime over high-energy play. Walks are enjoyable but short and sweet—Rina is happiest when heading back home for snuggles. This little lady is as gentle as they come, showing no signs of resource guarding or aggression. She’s nearly silent, rarely barking, and is fully comfortable sharing her food with both people and dogs. Rina is house-trained for both indoor pads and outdoor potty and rides quietly in a kennel, although she may experience a little car sickness on longer trips. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who’s happiest by your side, Rina could be the perfect match. With her tender heart and peaceful spirit, she’s ready to fill her forever home with warmth, snuggles, and unwavering loyalty. Story
Meet Pluto, a 4-year-old neutered male Jack Russell Terrier with a charming brown and white coat. This little guy was rescued from a shelter in Wanju after being found wandering near an apartment complex. Despite his rough start, Pluto’s love for people has never wavered. A dedicated volunteer couldn’t bear to see such an affectionate pup tethered to a short chain in the shelter, so they stepped in to help him find a better future. Pluto is a social butterfly who adores people—whether they’re familiar faces or total strangers. He happily leans in for pets, rolls over for belly rubs, and melts at any sign of affection. He’s comfortable with both men and women and can even be picked up with ease. When meeting children under 13, he’s been friendly and playful, though he does have a habit of guarding his personal space, such as a kennel or crate. Because of this, a home with very young children may not be the best fit. Otherwise, he’s a fantastic companion with no major concerns in human interactions. His love for socializing extends to other dogs as well. He eagerly approaches both familiar and unfamiliar pups, especially those of similar or larger size, and invites them to play. While he doesn’t start conflicts, he does have a bit of a jealous streak—if another dog tries to get attention from his favorite humans, he’ll let out a little “yip-yip” to shoo them away. He hasn’t been in any fights, but introductions with new dogs should be done with care, as he may react if provoked. When it comes to cats, Pluto is curious but not fixated. He’ll glance at them during walks but will follow his human’s lead without much fuss. Energy-wise, he strikes a great balance—he enjoys outdoor adventures but knows how to relax afterward. His leash manners are excellent, and he walks nicely without pulling. He does love to mark, so expect plenty of sniffing and leg-lifting on walks! Pluto has no issues with food guarding, whether around humans or other dogs, but he does show some protectiveness over his personal space. If he’s inside his crate or kennel, he may growl to let others know it’s his spot, so that should be respected. He doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety, though he will bark when left alone in confinement. When placed in a kennel, he may bark briefly before settling down. One of Pluto’s favorite things in the world? Car rides! He’s always eager to hop in, though his short legs mean he often needs a little boost. He enjoys watching the world go by from the backseat—but be warned, he’s clever enough to roll down the windows himself, so safety precautions are a must! Pluto is fully outdoor potty trained, but in new environments, he tends to mark indoors. Using a diaper at first can help manage this, as he won’t mark while wearing one. If you’re looking for a friendly, adventurous, and affectionate pup who’s ready to ride shotgun on all your adventures, Pluto might just be your perfect match! Story
DARWIN is currently special-needs as he recovers from an abusive home, and so far he is doing well with rehab, but we still have a way to go. Darwin is a wonderful, affectionate, and loving boy. Although he likes playing fetch and chasing his ball, he equally enjoys being a couch potato and cuddling and sleeping. He is often quiet, and unlike many of the higher-energy Jack Russells. He is friendly and sweet but terribly fearful, and is an indoor dog since he has white, very fine hair, can sunburn easily, and also freeze in the winter. Darwin is housetrained, walks well on his leash, obeys simple commands, and is friendly with other friendly dogs, both female and male, and smaller dogs. Darwin is about 8 years old and is neutered. Darwin’s parents split up and neither one of them was able to keep Darwin. Darwin is a smooth-coat Jack Russell with perhaps a tiny touch of Corgi.
