**Meet Jack Saturday, March 8th from 10 to 1 at Dublin Petsmart west, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** Jack is a very nice boy who just came into our foster program. He is playful, fun and adorable and he gets along and loves to play with other respectful dogs. His foster dad is enjoying his new houseguest and says that he is very smart and curious, entertains himself with toys and walks well on leash. Jack can be shy and cautious initially, but quickly warms up to people. He is easily settling into his new foster home and he is already house trained. Jack is a Jack Russell Terrier mix, 1 to 2-years-old and he weighs 23 pounds. Already neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Maize is a generally chill, but always down to play little lady (10-11 years old). She was originally a rescue that we brought into our family 6 years ago. While it took a bit to get her into a comfort zone, she quickly became a part of our pack. Not only that, we realized that she absolutely loves people - she's a little star of the show. Maize thrives most on attention, and has no problem sitting on your lap or talking a long walk / jog. She's not into sticks or balls like many dogs, but loves her green dog and skunk toy; she will play fetch or tug with either. Maize is also pretty low maintenance - all she needs is love, but she won't turn down treats either ;) Maize is house trained, knows basic commands, and is really good with kids (even babies). She is protective of our family and will growl / snap at other dogs she does not know when they get close. However, once she gets to know another dog, she's comfortable with them around and will play (though she prefers her humans).

Ginny is super sweet and playful, especially with other dogs. She's a little skittish at first and takes a little while to warm up, but once she's comfortable with you, she is sweet, a champion snuggler, and an all-around great companion. Energy Level? Medium House trained? Yes Describe how they are on a leash. Does well on a leash. Likes to stop and smell all the smells. Describe how they are with other dogs? Ginny plays nice with other dogs and has lived with other dogs; however, she would do well as your one and only. She loves all the attention. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they? Ginny has been in home with a dog-savvy cat and did very well. Commands they know? She comes when called. What are their favorite things? Playing with other dogs, chewing on toys and treats, and snuggling with her people. She also enjoys being outside and exploring our backyard. What do they need to work on? Ginny is still learning what's okay and not okay to chew. She'll need lots of toys that are safe for chewing and some patience and understanding while she figures it out. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone? She has been alone for up to 8 hours and has been okay. She may howl briefly as we leave but then quiets down. She is generally happy in her crate and has a good view of all her foster fur siblings. Where do they sleep? In a small crate in our bedroom. She sleeps well through the night and enjoys a morning snuggle in our bed when there's time. What is their ideal home? Ginny 's perfect home includes at least one other similarly-sized dog because doggy playtime is her favorite thing. She'll need a family who can give her some time and space to get comfortable, as she can be pretty skittish initially. She'll also need patience as she learns what's okay to chew and what's not. Once she's comfortable with you and all settled in, she is an excellent companion and will reward you with epic snuggles and much love. Ginny should be in an adult only home.
