Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Jake is a handsome young short hair Jack Russell Terrier/Mix weighing about 19 lbs. about 1 year 9 months old. Jake very shy but, he does  enjoys the company of other dogs.  This little guy is crate trained but Jake will need continued training, he does admirably well and surely has the “right stuff”. Like so many rescues, Jake’s beginnings were less than ideal. Yet this boy absolutely looks to be loved. With the right guidance, Jake will continue learning to receive love. His social skills are constantly improving, his trust in humans is growing daily but needs someone that knows about dogs with special needs. He  is such a tender and sweet boy to welcome into your home. Jakes Ideal home is a House  with an enclosed back yard is required, so he can run and play safely.  Also, Jake would also prefer someone who is home often  does not like walking on a leash ,would need work and needs a fellow playmate.      For more information go to www.FureverHomeRescue.dog  Jake is waiting for you!!!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    August 16, 2024, 12:21 am

NAME:  Bagel BREED:  Terrier mix SEX:  female COLOR:  white/red AGE:  2 yrs as of January 2023 WEIGHT:  14 lbs FOSTERED BY: LOCATED IN: NOTES FROM FOSTER FAMILY: Shy with people at first, loves to play with other dogs, active, will need leash training, She would not do well with young children.  She can still sometimes get scared of new things and people and children move fast.  She would need to be in an adult only home with person/couple that will let her settle in and feel safe.  She still does get nervous being picked up until she knows someone so just need someone that can go slow with her.  Bagel will do best in a home with another dog where she can learn the ropes and have a friend to play with.   Due to COVID-19 we are a little more limited on volunteers and the availability (and safety) of home visits.   Local applications are given first priority and some out of town areas will not be able to be processed. Story
Scooter is a 16 lb, 3 yr old, Jack Russell mix - neutered and completely vetted. Currently being fostered in Gainesville, FL. Very playful and active! Crate trained; house broken. Needs some leash work. Cautious when meeting strangers but warms up quickly. Learning sit and wait. He wants to please! Scooter came in as a stray, was adopted but then returned to the shelter for food guarding, put on euth list and then brought into our rescue in May. Can you imagine life on the streets for a small dog? Of course he had to grab his food! Potential Adopters: Please plan to feed in crate or separate room if you have other dogs and then you'll have no issues with this. Small toddlers with food in their hands would probably not be a good match. We are working on taking treats gently from a sit and not grabbing at the ball or toy. He is learning quickly, very smart and responsive. He loves to fetch a ball and will drop it at your feet for the next toss. Tug is a favorite game! Needs mental enrichment but can also nap for a few hours next to you on the couch or in your lap! Learning manners, responds well to No or Eh-Eh. Becoming very tuned in to other dogs need for space. He will make someone a great sport dog, or active companion!! Agility, scent work, outdoorsy activities? Scooter's your guy! Story
Jack is a happy loving dog that wants a pet owner that will spend time with him either playing ball, walking, taking a ride, or just sitting on the couch chilling. He is use to an owner that only had him for years, so he has not adjusted to a shared home environment with cats. He’s gotten along with dogs, but he was use to being the only fur baby for most of his life. He jealous when other pets get attention, so he needs to be the only pet. . He has never really been around children, so a caring adult would be the best fit for him. He will let children pet him if they go slowly. Jack is a wonderfully sweet and a loving companion who needs someone that can devote love and attention solely to him. So no matter your age, if you’re a “one pet person” looking for a great friend and loyal dog, Jack is the fur baby you’d want.

Story
Hello, meet Boyd. Boyd came from a no kill shelter in Chicago named PAWS. He may be around 10 yrs old, which for his breed means he's got a long life ahead of him. A genuine lover and cuddler. very well house-trained. only chews on dog toys - loves playing tug of war. He is energetic, but doesn't need a lot of attention, he's content to lounge around or amuse himself with a toy. Boyd is leash-trained but loves running in a fenced yard as well.
