Story
Meet Simone, a spirited 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with the heart of a champion! Named after the talented Simone Biles, this little athlete is ready to vault, tumble, and Yurchenko double pike into your heart. Simone has a nervous but curious nature, so once she has gotten over her anxieties about unfamiliar folks, she has a sweet and affectionate side. She loves high-fiving snd snuggling up with her favorite human. She also loves to show off her underbite while begging for her human's snacks. She has not yet met any children and her big bark might frighten very young ones, but we think she'd do well in a house with savvy older kids who understand she might be a little wary of new friends at first. She's looking for a forever person or family who will give her the grace and time to warm up so she can become the most loyal and loving companion. If you're ready to add a gold-medal-worthy dog to your life, Simone is waiting to meet you!

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Tassie is classy, occasionally sassy, and maybe even a little bit gassy sometimes! But the trait that trumps them all is how much of a sweetheart this girl is, and she is ready to give her people all her love! Show her an ounce of affection and Tassie will stare at you with her big brown eyes in adoration. While she is a bit shy and scared at the shelter, which can make her stress bark or seem avoidant, her personality shines through in a comfortable home environment where she proves herself to be a loving and calm girl. As a low to medium energy dog with great manners, Tassie will adjust well to any house or apartment. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and is happy to play with other dogs, sniff around outside, or just curl up in a nice soft blanket! She also tends to ignore cats and is a gentle pup with children of any age. Tassie's favorite activity is going for a nice little walk, and she does great on a leash after some excited tugging at the start. She also rides well in the car and is an amazing partner at outside dining places, so she is ready for any adventure with you! The cherry on top of it all is that Tassie seems to be totally house trained and lets her foster parents know when she has to potty by going to the door. At night, she prefers to sleep outside the crate in a dog bed and is extremely well-behaved, although if she needs to be crated, she will settle in for the night after some initial protesting. Tassie is a smart girl who should be easy to train, especially if you have any peanut butter flavored treats. We are confident Tassie will thrive in any home with just a little patience and a whole lot of love!

Story
Rescued in 2018 from a shelter in Fayetteville, NC. We were told he is 2 or 3 at that time. He is a very calm dog, he is very loyal. He does not like lightning or thunder and will pee if he becomes frightened. Medicated for anxiety. He is stubborn, does not like to be moved. He has bitten/snapped at the family when we try to move him. Otherwise he does not bite. He does not like to be crated and sleeps in our bed at night. Does not like kids or other Dogs. He is a picky eater. Does not eat all human food dropped. The ideal adoption would be to a person without kids who can spend lots of time with him.

Story
Who doesn't love a good Hush Puppy? Our little terrier mix is the perfect blend of loving and energetic. This sweet girl loves people and showering you with kisses. When she's not loving on her humans, Hush Puppy enjoys playing fetch, tuggy, keep away, and doing zoomies in the yard. She is crate-trained, but still needs some work on loose leash-walking and letting you know when she needs to go out. Once she was comfortable with her foster's 9 lb and 90 lb dogs, she was non-stop playtime with them, but she would be best in a home without cats. This girl is the perfect side for any of life's adventures! Make an appointment to meet her today!

Story
Missy is typically quiet and reserved, but she has a strong prey drive. She might not be suitable for households with small animals or young children due to her tendency to chase. Missy can be a bit shy and is nervous around strangers. She sometimes barks at the doorbell and loud noises.Missy has had some issues with eating dog food. She prefers home-cooked meals and being hand-fed, often enjoying chicken and rice.Potential adopters should be prepared to continue working on her eating habits, managing her prey drive, and helping her feel comfortable around new people and in noisy environments.Best living situation:A fenced-in yard and leash walks are ideal. She has been known to chase squirrels and neighborhood cats, and once she starts, it's hard to call her back (though this doesn't happen often). She hasn't been dog-tested yet, but we plan to do that soon.Behavior/Training:Missy knows the "sit" command and enjoys treats, which can be a great motivator for further training. She is good on walks and prefers to rest when she's not active. Not big into toys, but will occasionally play tug or run around with you.Be cautious with her allergies; she sometimes reacts (scratches/licks) when outside in the grass for too long. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 24.5 Age: 8yrs 4mths 1wks
