Attention all small dog lovers! My name is Toby and I’m a 15lb, 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix looking for my forever home. I’m almost potty trained, but going out in the cold weather is rough. I’m working really hard at only going to the bathroom outside. My foster dad says that I’m very food motivated and sometimes I even do a little dance when it’s dinner or treat time. I just love food and get so excited. I do tend to bark when I’m left alone. What can I say? I love to be with my people. I also tend to bark at people when they walk into a room. Due to the fact that I sometimes can’t control my barking, I’d probably do best in a house and not an apartment. With continued training, I’m sure that I can cut back on this little quirk. I am crate-trained and will sleep in my crate without any trouble. If I had a choice though, I’d love to snuggle up and sleep with my new owner on the couch or even in bed. I don’t require a fenced-in yard but I need to be kept on a leash because sometimes I like to be independent and wander around. Occasionally I will play with toys and other small dogs but I’m pretty content to just hang out with my favorite people. Although I get along well with kids and other dogs, I would do best in a home with no cats. Get your applications in soon! My adorable face is sure to draw a lot of adopters! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 2 Years Adoption fee: $400

Come meet Wendy during our open hours! Wendy recently found herself back at the shelter, at no fault of her own. She hasn't let that stop her from being an energetic and confident mixed-breed . While her paperwork listed lab/shepherd mix, she and her brother Casper look more JRT (others in the litter definitely favor shepherd). She is friendly with everyone she meets and loves to give giant puppy kisses. Wendy enjoys the company of other dogs, but is also independent and would thrive as an only pup. Wendy has lived with 1 adult dog and 2 cats and is curious and playful. She also loves young children. Wendy loved playing chase outside with her brother when they were in foster. She is treat driven so she will enjoy learning new commands with her owner. Wendy is working on leash training and does best with a harness, but is still not very fond of the leash yet.
