Story

Peanut was adopted out of a shelter at 3 months old in 2019. We have no way of knowing but believe she is part Daushound and Jack Russell. She is a smart and affectionate dog. Housebroken, crate trained and uses her dog door to go out into the yard protected by an underground fence. She is happiest when she is with her people doing whatever they’re doing. Peanut loves all people from babies on up but does not do well with other animals. Loves to play ball, frisbee and tug on a rope. Does well on a leash and loves to ride in the car. She loves to run loose at the farm and always comes when called. The only reason we are rehoming her is because she does not do well with other family animals which has led to some serious fights. For her own safety is the only reason we are looking for new owners for Peanut and why she must be the only animal in the household. Peanut is a gentle loving dog towards all people and is happiest just being with her owners.

Story

Tyler was rescued from an unhappy situation. Tyler is 6-7 years old. He is a very happy little dog. He is a cuddler, very good in the home, no messes, house trained and also uses a doggy door. Tyler is used to a fenced in yard. He is an active little guy, but not hyper. He just lost his doggy friend and would love to be in a home with another dog. His friend, King, was 16 years old and he just passed away. His human mom just went into a nursing home and can no longer care for him. His human stepdad is moving and unfortunately cannot take Tyler with him. Hopefully there is someone out there who would give him a loving home, he deserves it.

We rehomed him two years ago. He is great with kids but is energetic as well. He is around 8 years old. We would love for him to have a loving home. He does bark when excited. He is a mix of energetic and sweet/calm. When we got him they didn't tell us much about him. We are only rehoming as moving and can't keep him. He is a great family dog. He is just nervous/scared of other dogs especially if same size or bigger. He is not aggressive.

MISS MOUSE is a sweet little mixed breed girl looking for a home. She looks like a rough (long haired) Jack Russell Terrier mix, but she came from a property with more than a dozen other dogs left alone when their human passed away so heaven only knows what type of mix she might actually be. She’s 3-4 years old and fully grown at 18 pounds. Miss Mouse is VERY timid. We took 3 dogs from the same home. While the other two were a bit timid, they found homes quickly and have settled in nicely. Miss Mouse, however, was terrified and it took months of tender loving care in her wonderful foster home to bring her around. Miss Mouse needs a quiet home. She feels safest when she has another friendly dog to help her navigate life. She loves her stuffed toys, her comfy bed and belly rubs. She’s happy to come to you for affection but does not like to be picked up. She loves to follow her favorite people everywhere and hops after you like a little kangaroo. Miss Mouse walks well on a leash but can be spooked easily so we’d prefer to find her a home with a physically-fenced yard. Miss Mouse is okay with older, dog savvy, respectful kids but she’s afraid of small children. She is housebroken and crate trained. Miss Mouse is tiny and cute but PLEASE read through her requirements carefully to understand her needs before applying. She needs a quiet home with a patient adopter who will take the time to earn her trust. And by time, please understand that it won’t happen in 15 minutes or an hour. It may take days or weeks for her to feel safe. She needs a home with another friendly dog and a physically fenced yard. We believe she would be happiest in a quiet home where there aren’t strangers coming and going on a regular basis. She is only available for private meets; she will not be coming to adoption events. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Meet Trixie. Trixie is bonded with NALA who both came into rescue when the owner moved in to a new place and they were not allowed. They are both 4 years old spayed and fully vetted. Both get along with other animals, housetrained. Love the people Trixie loves sleeping with her human and cuddling, Nala likes to sleep in her crate. Trixie does not prefer at all a crate. She loves to be with you. She gets a little anxious and scared when she is left , so she takes a little medicine from the vet. We dont know if it is because of losing her home and what she knew. She has only been in rescue a couple weeks or so. We would like to see them stay together as Nala sucks on Trixie ears and make her feel better we think.
