Story
Meet Jayda! Jayda is sweet 9-month-old mixed breed pups who weighs in around 10-12 pounds. She is a mix breed of sweet, hyper, goofy and playful! Jayda is VERY active dog who needs a home that is dedicated to playing with her and taking her out to achieve her exercise needs. She is very sweet and LOVES people. She does not appreciate being left at home for long so she is best suited to a home where someone is around in the day. She does love other dogs but if there is a dog in her forever home, it needs to be young and ready to play at all times. Dogs over the age of 2, need not apply; she is too active for anyone over this age. She walks beautifully on a leash and is working on her housetraining. She is not fostered with children however we feel she would be fine with kids over 5 years of age. She is dog friendly but has never met cats. Jayda does bark when she wants your love and attention and sometimes when she is left alone therefore, she is not suited to an apartment, condo or townhome. She is very smart and very loyal! Jayda is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, preventives and is microchipped. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13329Hi! My name is Zoey! I was saved by OPH in January. I am currently being fostered in Frederick County Maryland.I’m guessed to be 9 years young, weigh about 12 lbs., Chihuahua/Jack Russell mixed, I like to decompress at my own pace, I am a bit unsure about meeting new people, so please be patient with me, please. Once I am comfortable in my new surroundings, I will show you love, follow you around, and even want to sleep with you - if you let me.I am crate trained, my crate is my safe place, I sometimes hide toys in there. The doctor said I should lose some weight so my foster mom watches what I eat & my treats are limited.Did you notice the heart on my side? I'm in search of my new family. Is that with you? If so apply today - I won’t be available for long!

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/12742Meet Ben, a 3-year-old, 30-pound ball of quirks and charm! Ben believes the world revolves around him, especially other dogs, and he makes sure they know it by barking for attention. He enjoys long, aimless strolls in the great outdoors but saves his indoor peeing for special occasions like when you’ve just cleaned the floor. This little wanderer will keep you entertained with his unique talent for looking lost until you invite him onto your lap. If you’re ready for a companion who’s equal parts amusing and baffling, Ben’s your guy!- I LOVE getting my head and belly scratched, and snuggling with my humans. To see me feeling some head-scratch bliss, click here!- I love bringing my toys into my crate to play. Watch me here!- I LOVE toys and FOOD! I'm food motivated so you can use food to teach me new tricks :)- Sometimes I like to chase my tail and my foster mom says it is really funny. See me being silly here!- I would do best in a home with no small children since I am still working on understanding personal space. In my foster home I like the kids 6 and over. Those little barely walking kids scare me.- Overall? I'm a very good and lovable boyFrom Ben's foster: Ben is a sweet boy with so much love to give, and it is clear that he just wants to be loved back. He has made so much progress in our time together. He will need an adopter who is patient and understands that it will take him some time to get settled in a new environment, but he promises to repay you with tons of kisses and snuggles. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Story
Introducing, Cabbage! Cabbage is 9 years old and 10 lbs. This sweet little lady was found as a stray, and no one came looking for her. We don't know what her life was like before, but we know it is amazing now! Cabbage is in a very loving foster home with another dog. She would do amazing in any type of home and is an all-around good girl. Her teeth were really bad, and she recently had a dental and the majority of her teeth extracted. She walks well on leash, naps a lot of the day away, is super friendly and good with other dogs. Interested in learning more about Cabbage? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt. *Cabbage is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, is negative for tick borne diseases and heartworm, and microchipped.

Story
Sweet Pea and Cory are 10 months old and adorable!  Although we think they're sister and brother, we see a different mix in each. Both are Jack Russell Terrier mixes but we also see Rat Terrier in Sweet Pea and Jack Russell and Beagle in Cory! Different dads?  What we know for sure is that they both have great personalities. They’re good with other dogs, kids and their foster’s cat.   They’re good looking, too, in their short coats of white and tan. Although they both weigh between 18 and 20 pounds now, in puppyhood, they’ll mature to between 20 and 25 pounds.  Sweet Pea and Cory!  What fine pups!  (posted 1/19/24, TN)  (age updated 5/19/24) (age weight updated 8/7/24) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption Fee/Transport Fee: $250.00   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  August 18, 2024, 2:19 pm
