Story
Meet Anemone! This sweet 1-year-old Jack Russell/Boxer mix is the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly affection. Weighing in at around 30 pounds, Anemone is just the right size for all kinds of adventures, whether it’s playing fetch, chasing after toys, or just lounging on the couch with his favorite humans. Anemone was adopted as a puppy from a local shelter and was found as a stray at 1 yr old. After his previous owner never came forward to claim him we learned that he was heartworm and erlichia positive. He has been through treatment and will have no lasting effects. He’s a social butterfly who gets along great with other dogs, so if you’ve got a furry friend at home, he’ll fit right in! Anemone absolutely thrives on attention from his people—he’s always ready for rubs and playtime. If you aren’t paying attention to him he uses his Boxer hands to grab your arm for pets! He’s got a heart full of love to give and is looking for a family who will share in his excitement for life. Anemone is located in Texas. His adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip and neuter. Story
Meet Pebbles! Pebbles is a happy, petite, 4 month old baby girl. She’s a tiny girl at only 12 lbs. She loves playing with her foster brother. Even though she’s little, she still holds her own with him. She has so much fun playing outside and running around and walks well on a leash. Pebbles is a typical, playful puppy. She super sweet and snuggly with the right amount of sassy to make her entertaining. She makes her foster parents laugh every day. She’s working very hard on potty training and is doing a great job! She’s also working hard on her puppy manners. She’s going well, but her new family will need to continue her training with lots of love and patience. To help with that, Wag N’ Purr Animal Rescue is offering a $50 reimbursement for any pet parent, that adopted from us after January 1, 2025, who can present us with a certificate of completion from a professional dog trainer. We feel so strongly about the benefits of professional training, that we’ll pay you to do it!! ***The breeds listed are our best guess based on the pet’s appearance. Most of our pets were strays. So do not know what breed they are. ***

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on March 28th and arrive on March 29th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 3/16/2025 Dog Name: Junebug Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Rat Terrier/ Jack Russel mix Approximate Age: 4 months Estimate Date of Birth: Dec 10-17th, 2024 Approximate Weight: 6-9 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet Spayed (too young) Description: Our Texas rescue partners desperately wanted to save this girl before she ended up at a high kill shelter- she was found roaming the streets alone and her finder could not keep her! Junebug has the sweetest little personality and the most stunning coloring and ears!! She will be a great listener! ;) This sweet pup is going to steal your heart, all she wants is love and a safe/warm home! Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 16, 2025, 11:43 pm
