Story
Approx. DOB: 8/9/17                 Approx. Weight: 8.5 Lbs Adoption Fee: $ 250   includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!   Juliet is seven years old and is a breeder release.  She was very slow to warm up compared to her foster sibling.  She initially kept to herself and would not take treats. She felt much better after her dental cleaning, where she had 8 teeth pulled.  Now, she loves taking treats!      She is doing very good with house training.  She is kenneled at night and keeps her kennel clean for 8 hours.  But, when she is loose in the house, it seems the average time she can hold it is about 5 ½ hours.  She has been kept on a schedule based on that.  She has had rare accidents outside that timeframe.       She has lived with other dogs and gets along well with them.  She does not like cats.  She will growl and chase them out of her space.   She doesn't know how to play yet.  She would benefit from having another dog in the home to learn from.  She is very smart and food motivated and likes working puzzles with treats hidden inside.  She has already worked up to a Level 3 puzzle!   She is small, but is not a lap dog.  She loves attention and will come to you for it.  But she has an independent side where she may choose to curl up by herself.    Can you give her what she has missed out on?      I will need a fenced yard.  Please stop by and say hello!   I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Max is an adorable and sweet 8-year-old Maltese. He weighs 9 lbs. Max is a happy boy and loves everyone and is friendly to both people and dogs. Max is an excellent walker and gets very excited whenever he sees his harness and leash. Max is marked “special needs” because he is prone to drinking and urinating frequently (a nervous habit) and his water intake will have to be monitored. He is crated during the night and holds his pee during that time. He will have to be let outside often and watched to ensure he pees outside and does not mark inside.
