Or maybe you would just like to let me sit on your lap while you give me scratches? Whatever we do, I’ll be happy to be with you and, if you have them, the kids! I just love kids, their little hands are the best for scratches. I’m fine letting them touch my ears and paws. While I may be big and strong, I know how to be gentle with them. I’m pretty chill in my kennel as long as I have enough space to stretch out a bit. And I like eating there but I prefer to do it undisturbed. I am a well mannered gentleman overall. Sometimes I will jump on adults, but I’m working on it. I just want you to know how happy I am to see you. I know how to sit and shake and I’m also house trained and know to do by business outside. While I will happily share what you are eating, I don’t counter surf much or beg for a bite. What I don’t really like are other male dogs with dominant personalities and cats. While I don't quite remember my past, I can say that I am grateful I no longer roam the streets! I do enjoy the hoomans who have cared for me here and appreciate a comfortable and safe environment! I do very well with other dogs, that's not a problem for me! Playtime is my favorite time, other than the affection given by my foster hooman, of course. While I enjoy members of the same species, I do not quite know how I feel about other species....including kitties and little hooman sprouts. I believe I just need supervision upon interaction, as I have not yet branched out to them. Traditionally, Sassafras was used to purify and heal. Can I be please be the one to do that for you? If you're feeling called out right now, you probably found your new dog! I'm sweet! I melt hearts with my adorable floppy ears. I am friendly with both humans and other dogs, including the littlest ones. I do well with kids, small dogs, and even kitties! I'm a middle-aged gentleman so I'm not super high energy. I'd say I have medium energy at most. Don't underestimate my agility skills though! I can climb over a 4 foot fence, so I'll need a taller fence or a leash to keep me safe outside.
