Story
Ok, who else in the audience LOVES the Asian BREEDS???? Shiba Inu, Akita, Korean Jindo, Chow Chow???? WE LOVE THEM ALL!! So, I am what we all believe is a Korean Jindo mixed boy. And these breeds have a couple of things in common- we are clean dogs (more like cats than dogs), we are stubborn, we love our people (and are picky about people who are not them), and we are absolutely gorgeous!! So there is my personality :) I am good with other dogs, love females more than male dogs but can get along with both. I am only 45#, compact with gorgeous fur. I love my people, but I am definitely mouthy when I play so would be best in an adult only home. I am so smart, so independent, so stubborn and SO LOVABLE! If you are my peeps, you will have enough love for the rest of your lives!! I am being social at the rescue, I am exposed to and cared for by quite a few different people, I just love my real peeps more!! lol If you want to meet me and adopt me, let my rescue know! Fill out the application and lets get on with our forever lives :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

These pups are in Golden Valley, Minnesota too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I'm Xena!  I'm a beautiful lady who came here from a shelter in Arkansas.  My former owners were seen dumping me by a river and driving away leaving me alone.  Could it be because I had cherry eye?  I don't know, but that was fixed and my eyes look great!   So let me tell you about myself!  I can be a bit unsure when first meeting new people, but give me a little time and I warm up and I'm all smiles and body wiggles!  I have an adorable prance too because I know I'm just that gorgeous!  I love toys and balls and will happily entertain myself with them.  I also enjoy chewing on bones.  When I'm not playing I will lay at my foster moms feet by her desk while she works.  I'm always available if she needs to take a break and give me pets and ear scratches.  I've met the kitties here and I didn't really care about them, even though one of them gave me a swat in the face.  It was uncalled for so I just walked away.  Mom gave me lots of praise for that and I really liked it!  I haven't met any of those little humans called kids, but I'm usually pretty chill so I don't think I'd mind them.  I do well with the dogs in my foster home, but I do prefer calmer ones.  I'd be happy being your only dog too!  I should also tell you I love food and treats.  I don't like to share them with my doggie friends though so I do need to eat separately.  It's ok because I'm perfectly happy eating in my kennel.  I'm doing good with kennel and potty training.  I sometimes protest a bit when going in so shared walls might not be best for me.  Now it's time for me to find my true family who will love me forever and I hope it can be with you Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I'm Oso, a 1-year-old male Chow Chow, weighing a sturdy 40 pounds. I’m a friendly and energetic pup who loves people and pets. I have lots of "puppy" energy and would absolutely LOVE a playful doggy sibling in my forever home to play with. I’m great with other dogs and love to play, although I might have a bit too much energy for older dogs. But don’t worry, I do listen to their cues when they tell me to back off. It’s important for me to have another dog in my forever home to help me burn off some of my energy. When the other dogs have had enough of my playful antics, I enjoy chewing on bones. I also have a blast with toys, especially shaking them around and tearing them apart, so sturdy toys or supervised playtime is best for me. I’ve been working on my manners, but I can be a bit mouthy and jumpy, so I’d do best with older, dog-savvy kids as I might be too rambunctious for toddlers. I’m fully potty trained, but I’m not the biggest fan of the crate and might bark for a while when you first leave me, but I’m better at night and only whine for about 10-15 minutes before settling down. I am crated during the day while my people are at work. I definitely need a fenced yard because I love the freedom to run around and play. I’m still a work in progress when it comes to leash walking, but I’m improving every day. I know how to sit for treats and love learning new things. I like giving kisses to everyone, including my foster siblings. With some patience and training, I’ll learn my manners and become a fun and playful addition to your family. I’m a very happy boy who can’t wait to find my forever home! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.
