Story
To adopt me, email my foster parent at portillk@gmail.com! Ruby (short for Reuben after he was found outside a deli in VA) is a gentle and loving 4-year-old who’s ready to find a new family. Although he's a bit shy at first, with patience, Ruby quickly warms up and forms strong bonds with his human companions and absolutely loves pets. He was born with diabetes insipidus. He’ll need a family who can be understanding and help him manage this aspect of his care. Takes a pill a day to help manage. Ruby is great with other cats, and his calm demeanor makes him a good companion in a multi-cat household. If you’re an experienced pet owner who’s ready to give Ruby the care and attention he deserves, he will reward you with years of loyalty and affection.

Story
Meet Rufus, the cat who believes your lap is his natural habitat. He’s a professional cuddle enthusiast, a loud purr machine, and a full-time attention magnet. Need a cuddle? Rufus will find you. Want some peace and quiet? Sorry, not happening—he’ll let you know, in purrs, that you're overdue for some love. Rufus’s current owner is no longer able to care for him, so he needs to find a new family to love. If you open your heart and your home to Rufus, he will reward you with endless joy and happiness. Warning: Your lap will never be empty again, and neither will your heart. Adopters have 30 days of free access to 1-on-1 text and email support from behaviorists at Petcademy to help make every pet's transition into their new home as smooth as possible. All cats available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and are current on all vaccinations. Please email cats@henricohumane.org for more information.

Story
Stormi is a very sweet and happy girl. She is about 3 years old now and we’ve had her since she was 12 weeks so it saddens us to rehome her but our son has an allergy towards her and although we’ve tried our best to keep her it feels selfish of us to keep her knowing my sons condition. I have a 1 and 4 year old and she’s never shown any aggression towards either of them. She has no experience being around any other animals as she’s been our only pet and we’ve had her since a baby so I’m not sure how she would react around dogs or other cats. She’s a very playful kitty and still has so much energy to show, she loves her laser toys and catnip. We would love for her to go to a family that will give her the love and attention she deserves.
