Story
**Needs another confident dog AND a fenced in yard** Pirate is a sweet girl who is looking for a patient family to help her come out of her shell. She had a difficult life before being rescued, used as a breeding dog at a puppy mill. Because of that, she’s adjusting slowly to what life with love and compassion looks like, but we have all the confidence that with patience and care, Pirate will thrive. Pirate spends most of her time in her safe zone surrounded by blankies and toys, but she enjoys spending time in the backyard with dog friends. She’s learned how awesome a kiddie pool feels in the summer heat, how interesting sniffing out new spots can be, and that having space to roam around is a good thing, not a scary one! Pirate needs an adopter with an immense understanding that she has to take things at her own pace. Her person will be patient and without the expectation of her becoming an outgoing, confident dog overnight. We believe she’ll get there, but it will take time, and her ideal adopter will take this journey with her, no matter how long it takes. ##2118436##

Story
I’m Rebel! I don’t fit my name or my height though because I’m the sweetest and most gentle boy who just loves! I’m energetic and loving, I love jumping, running, walking, and currently learning my love for balls! Being by your side, getting pets, cuddling, and finding scrapes of food are my favorite things! I am a smart boy who is house trained and I know basic manners and commands. I love love and I sometimes show that by excessive jumping and holding your arm with my teeth. I’m not biting you, I just love you so much! I would ideally need a family who is well versed in dog body language and has experience with dog training so that they can better manage my excitability. I love people and I love all the attention, however I have two foster brothers and our parents shows us some good lovin’ each, so I am also good at sharing! I would also do best in a home where someone is always there (or at least most of the time) because I am a very anxious boy and would prefer to be velcro than alone waiting for you. When I am alone though, I am a good boy and I don’t chew! If there is food left out though, no promises…I’m a hungry hippo. My foster mom also brings me to work when she has to go in person, and I do really well around people! I’m not a fan of small dogs, but I love learning and I am very trainable! I can’t wait to meet my forever family! ##2147090##

Gypsy is a sweet-tempered, loving puppy whose favorite thing world is to be wherever her foster humans are. She loves playing tag and splashing in the water with her human kiddos. Meet little Heartbeat! His nose looks like a heart which is perfect since he is so loving. Heartbeat likes his naps, when he is tired he looks for anyone that will pick him up and snuggle. He loves everyone he meets and gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. We dont know his parents, but we were told he is a Lab mix (best guess terrier/lab mix), he looks lab and has all the personality traits of a lab puppy, just still a little small but growing fast. If you want a buddy that wants to be near you, give little Heartbeat a chance.Fostering and transporting to places where there is a need for adoptable animals, saves lives, its that simple.   Gaze into his eyes and cute Canelo will capture your heart! All 43 lbs of this 10.5-month-old boy are sweet, social, easygoing, and happy. Motivated by food, love, and toys, he currently knows “sit,” "down," and “off” and if you’ve got a treat, he’s happy to learn more! Now all Canelo marshmallow needs is an active and loving home, with adopter(s) ready to take him on adventures, give him endless belly rubs, complete his training, and adore him for all of his days!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Once past his initial shyness, 2-year-old Ferret showed his foster dad just how sweet and loving he truly is. At a fit 45 pounds, the friendly black and white beauty, who thrives on affection, LOVES being hugged and petted all of the time, putting his paw on his foster dad or resting his head on him when he wants to cuddle. He also rolls over onto his back when he wants his belly rubbed and then artfully army crawls his way around the house. A curious explorer of his environment and an eager adventurer, Ferret enjoys going for long walks with his foster dad during the week, taking longer walks/hikes on the weekends, and accompanying him on car rides. Happy to relax in between outings, he also enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes and other friendly people, while he gets along well with children, and was playful around the one cat he met. Extremely fond of meat-based treats, Ferret is especially fond of hard chew toys like bones/rawhides and plastic, is motivated by food, toys and love, currently knows “come,” “no,” “off” and “stop,” and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now all he needs to fulfill his dream of happily-ever-after is a loving home, preferably with a backyard and another canine companion, to complete his training, including his commands, and keep him fulfilled, both mentally and physically, fur-ever.
