Story
We have a 4 year old labradoodle needing to rehome, Ringo. We’ve had behavior issues with him and have a baby on the way in about 4 weeks. Unfortunately, we don’t want to take any chances with a baby being brought into play. He is a great dog, very intelligent and aware. He can be grumpy in the mornings, snappy, & on edge. He loves playing fetch, tug-a-war, and ear/butt scratches. He loves walking through your legs in the morning for his butt scratches. The best way to explain him is similar to a cat. Ringo wants to be messed with, when he does. He’ll come to you when he wants pets and such. We’ve had him since he was a puppy. We currently have him and a dalmadoodle as well. They typically play great together and get along, however I feel our dalmadoodle antagonizes him and Ringo likes to be left alone often. However, he loves attention in other ways and loves people/visitors. Ringo is very healthy and up-to-date on all vaccines/etc. Ideally no children, single dog home.

Story
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process. Located in Decatur, IL Nick is a former puppy mill dog and he is working very hard at trusting people. When Nick came to us, you couldn't touch him and he would run away as fast as he could or hid underneath another dog. He wouldn't make eye contact, or take a treat from your hand. Nick has come very far in his foster home over the last 2 months. He still is uncertain of people but he looks foster mom in the eye, takes a treat from her hand, waits to be picked up to be put in bed each night, and knows will jump at the back of her legs when she comes home. Nick still runs if you try to approach him, but he does't go far and he eventually waits to be picked up. Nick is a completely different dog in bed. He is sweet, asks for affection, thumps his tail excitedly and loves ear scratches! Sleeping with his person will help when he goes to a new home. Nick loves other dogs and loves to play with them. He enjoys running around the yard with the other dogs and always has a smile on his face when with his buddies! The foster's pack of dogs have helped him tremendously to relax, learn a routine, and trust. He will need a young playful companion in his new home. Because of Nick's lack of trust for people he is a flight risk. He will need a secure physical fenced yard. Nick also gets nervous around young children and he is not recommended for a home with children under 10. Nick's adoption is 375. H is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly heartworm prevention. Visit leiashope.org for next steps. PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing. All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application. We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet. Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!

Story
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process. Located in Decatur, IL Meet the sweetest lab! He is a big guy weighing over 90 lbs but he is full of love and devotion! Ray is past all the crazy lab things and just enjoys taking it easy. He likes to go for walks or just hang out in the yard. Being a lab, his favorite toys are balls but don't count on him to chase one for a lengthy amount of time. His main goal is getting all the pets and love he can and he isn't particular on who gives them to him! He is also a gentleman when taking treats and is food motivated. Ray is a little stiff in his back legs and we have started him on joint supplements. He should remain on these for the remainder of his life and may need pain meds as he ages. Anyone with lab experience knows that labs just get better with age! Ray Ban's adoption is $315. He is neutered, current on vaccines, recently received a dental, microchipped and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Visit leiashpe.org for an application! PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
