Small children I’m friendly but I may jump. family lifestyle: After running around in a big yard I come in the house and relax and love to just lay down by my foster and watch her work. I love to play with toys and love attention. I do use a slow feed bowl when I eat because I act like I haven’t eaten in a while. If other dogs come near my food I will growl but if people or kids grab my bowl I’m fine. I just don’t like to share with other dogs. I’m still a puppy so just full of energy. I do listen well to commands to go to bed I will go to my kennel and I sit on command.  I’m a really sweet boy and just ready to love my new family. ##2335023##

Meet Clarita! This lovely little lady just came to us all the way from Puerto Rico. She’s had a lot of changes in her life recently and can come off a little shy and uncertain of herself because of this but she’s slowly learning people aren’t so bad! She’s been meeting new canine friends here at CAAA to help build her confidence up as well. Once she warms up to you she’s a sweet and gentle baby girl who is sure to bring a smile to any face! We think she’d do really well in a home with another canine companion to show her the ropes and continue to help her come out of her shell. If you think you’d make a good match and are willing to give this shy girl a chance, please submit an application today! Once you’re approved, you will be able to meet!Clarita is now part of our extended stay club since she has been with us a little longer than usual. Meet Rockford! This guy is about 4 years old and is as handsome as can be! Rockford came to CAAA from Georgia, and was a bit shy when he first got here. With lots of love and playtime from volunteers and staff, this guy has really come out of his shell! This guy now boasts a friendly, happy-go-luck attitude and is always excited to see the person coming to hang with him. He loves spending time with anyone who will show him a little love and attention, and has even enjoyed getting bathed and brushed here at the shelter. However, he cannot wait to find his forever home, and is eagerly awaiting the people who will make him a part of their family! Rockford had a bit of rough luck when he still lived down south, and unfortunately the poor guy was hit by a car and left on the side of the road. Luckily though, a kind person stepped in a bought him a vet where he could get treatment. Although he healed up well and doesn`t seem to be letting anything bother him, we are still listing Rockford as a special needs adoption, due any conditions that may arise in the future as a result of previous injuries. This guy hasn`t let his unfortunate past slow him down from living the happy life he was destined for, and he hopes you won`t let it hold you back from giving him a chance to be a part of your life!
