Story
Possess may be smaller than her littermates, Prisoners, but don’t let her size fool you—she’s twice as fierce! This 2-month-old, 6 pound (as of 3/15) Labradoodle/German Shepherd mix is full of personality, always ready to play, and not afraid to take charge. She loves to boss her brother around, but when playtime is over, she’s just as quick to snuggle up and smother him in kisses. This sweet and spunky girls loves being outside, playing with toys, cuddling, and getting all the pets. She enjoys romping around with other dogs and will happily soak up all the attention from people, including kids and adults. After burning off her puppy energy, she’ll melt right into your arms for some well-deserved snuggles. While she’s still working on potty training and crate training, Possess is smart and eager to learn. She does bark (because, well, he has things to say!), but she doesn’t resource guard and travels well. Possess is looking for a loving home that will give her the space to run, play, and cuddle to her heart’s content. Could that be you? Story
Polaroid- 8 weeks, 6lbs, Doodle & GSD Mix, NeuteredWe know the parents: Mom is a 70lb doodle and Dad is GSD Expected full grown size is at least 70lbs   Want to adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. Level of dog ownership experience needed:INTERMEDIATE: As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Relevant puppy care experience is a huge plus, but bare minimum the adopter must have TONS of time and patience. Raising a puppy can be a lot of fun, but it’s also  tremendous work. Puppies’ personalities and exercise/stimulation requirements change dramatically between now and when they’re a year old as their bodies and brains develop, so an active lifestyle and the ability to adapt to a pup’s evolving needs are a must. We strongly urge professional dog training with a rewards based trainer from the get go. Adults only or kids ages 8 and up – all puppies go through a mouthy, rambunctious phase and often accidentally hurt children when playing. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN BREED RESEARCH to make sure you have a better understanding of the kind of temperament and exercise requirements this dog may have as an adult. Energy levelMEDIUM: Very young puppies sleep and nap a lot, but their energy level skyrockets when they become teens (4 months to around a year). As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day at a minimum. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Potty trained?Working on this skill. Puppies under 12 weeks old are often on track with their wee pad skills, but they’re too young to walk outside in public NYC areas yet because they haven’t finished their puppy vaccine series. Puppies older than 12 weeks are usually learning to do their business outside. Potty training takes a lot of patience, consistency, and clean up.  Crate trained?Nope. None of our new puppies have been formally trained, but many of our foster parents/adopters choose to crate train. It can be a great way to keep puppies safe and teach them independence. Social with dogs?Yes. Some puppies are shy, others are bold, but all have the potential to be taught healthy socializing skills. It’s a huge part of raising a puppy and must be done carefully. How they interact with other dogs depends largely on how their humans help them learn to.  Social with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)Yes… but most puppies are not a great match for a home with kids under age 8 because they go through intense mouthy play and rambunctious phases and often accidentally hurt young kids while playing. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age respectfully.   Social with cats?Yes. Almost all puppies have the potential to be friends with a cat. It’s on the adopter to know their cat’s temperament and preferences and to teach their puppy respectful manners.  Mouthy play: High! All puppies go through phases where they chew your stuff and grab your hands, arms, feet… puppies naturally explore the world, play, and test boundaries with their mouths. (It also happens when they’re teething.) Their teeth are super sharp though, so it can be a very painful phase for humans and other animals in the home. Proper training, outlets, and socialization are key. Leash manners:None. :) Will need to learn this skill.   Separation anxiety:MEDIUM: Most puppies have some level of separation anxiety as they learn to self soothe. Often they cry the first 10+ minutes when they are left home alone or in a crate. Consistent training and alone time is crucial. Medical status:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP and Bordetella vaccines (for dogs under 4 months old, adopters will need to finish the DHPP vaccine series and administer the Rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age), spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee or St. Thomas. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. Story
** Current Location: in a private shelter in South Korea ** • Rescue Story : Say hello to sweet Poppy—a friendly little guy who was found wandering the streets alone in South Korea earlier this year. He ended up in a high-risk shelter and was sadly placed on the euthanasia list… but thankfully, a rescue team stepped in just in time and gave him the second chance he truly deserves. He’s now staying at a private shelter surrounded by big dogs, and while he’s doing okay, he’s really hoping to find a loving forever home soon! • Personality: Friendly, Affectionate, Calm Poppy is a total lovebug and lapdog at heart. He’s gentle, affectionate, and quick to bond—he just wants pets and cuddles from anyone willing to give them! Because he gets attached easily, he may show signs of separation anxiety, so he’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. Compared to other miniature poodles, he’s got a pretty calm nature, though he still enjoys some playful zoomies and outdoor fun! • Affinity with -Cats: Not tested -Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs, but he’s definitely more of a people pup—he’d rather hang out with you than join the dog pack. -Adults/Kids: Great with adults / Good with kids who are gentle and respectful around dogs. • Shedding: 1-2 (1-10 scale) • Food Allergies: None! • Walking Manners: He walks nicely on a leash—no heavy pulling, and he follows your lead well. • Housetraining: He’ll need a bit of potty training in a new home, but he’s a smart boy and should pick it up quickly. • Baths/Brushing: He’s good with brushing and we think he’ll be just fine with baths, too. • Car Rides: Good with car rides! • Separation Anxiety: Because he gets attached easily, he may show signs of separation anxiety, so he’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. • Barking/Howling: Whimpers when left alone • Likes & Dislikes: Cuddling is his all-time favorite, and he also enjoys a good game of catch! / The one thing he really doesn’t like? Being left alone. • Health: He has some calluses on the tops of his feet, but other than that, he’s a healthy and happy pup! Poppy is ready to find his forever home—could it be with you? 😊🐾

Story
** Current Location: in a local shelter in South Korea ** • Rescue Story : Meet Dugger👋 an adorable pup with a beautiful smile! Dugger was one of the 9 puppies found on a street in South Korea at just two months old and taken to a high-risk shelter. They were luckily saved right before euthanasia by the rescue team, but Dugger had to be hospitalized due to the mange treatment while all his siblings found their foster homes. Even long after he got a clean bill of health, he is still in the private shelter without a single chance to live in the loving home he deserves. This friendly pup is more than ready to find a forever home! • Personality: Friendly, Easy-going, Active Dugger's endearing and bright personality shines through with his charming smile and playful demeanor even in the shelter. We would like him to have a family who enjoys outdoor adventures so that Dugger can experience many activities he has been missing while staying in the shelter. • Affinity with -Cats: Not tested -Dogs: Gets along with other dogs, but due to his play style, it would be ideal as the only dog in the house. -Adults/Kids: Good with all people including men and kids, but he hasn't lived with kids in a house before, so it will be necessary to watch him being around kids at the beginning. • Shedding: 5-6 • Food Allergies: No. • Walking Manner: in training and improving! • Housetrained: Needs work. He would prefer to potty outdoors when adopted. • Bathing/Brushing: tolerates both well • Separation Anxiety: None. • Bark or Howl: No. • Carsickness: No. • Like & Dislike: LOVES people, attention, and treats!

Story
** Current location: in a local shelter in South Korea ** • Rescue Story: Mongja was sold to an old man at a dog meat market. Luckily she was not slaughtered, but she was tied to a short leash and forced to guard the house and farm. A villager who took pity on her bought her from the old man, and that's how she was rescued. She is now protected and taken care of in a private shelter. • Personality: She is very playful, sweet, and smart. She gets along very well with other dogs and is very sociable. She's friendly with young children, but she's also sometimes seen to be wary of strangers, dropping to the floor when they visit or approach her unexpectedly. However, if you pet her, she would warm up quickly :) • Health: She is scheduled to be spayed in a month (Aug 2024). • Crate-trained: yes • Walking Manners: She tends to pull the leash on walks but will get better soon with training. ❗Our dogs are currently located in Korea, and they go through a legal process to get into the U.S. We are professionals with a lot of experience in this area. If you decide to adopt one of our dogs, the process will be smooth with us. See the experiences of other adopters on our Instagram. Please follow us @3ft.rescue
