Story
Liesel is a sweet girl with loads of energy. She likes walks, but needs a fenced yard to run and fetch as well. She is dog reactive and when she came to us we were told she does not like other dogs, but that isn't true. She is just dog selective and has spent time with six different dogs while in our care and has done very well. Introducing the dogs in a proper manner is crucial to successfully getting Liesel to accept a new canine friend. She gets very excited when you first come home or greet her and will tend to jump to say HI, but once things get calm, she calms down as well. She has had some training sessions with 3 different trainers and knows some commands. Liesel has calmed down slightly since coming to us, but she will always be a bit high strung and her adopter must understand and accept that. it is just part of who she is. Liesel loves people, both children and adults, and just needs someone to love her for the dog she is. She wants to please and will be loyal and loving forever, if given the chance..

Check out that handsome face! Bob is a sweet, happy-go-lucky guy ready to get out of the shelter and find his furever family. Bob came to us as a stray, very nervous and stressed. Bob can still be nervous with strangers, but with a little bit of patience and yummy treats he will warm right up. Bob needs a home without cats or other small animals, but he does great with other dogs! He would do best in a home with children middle school age and older. Bob is potty trained, and already knows some basic skills like "sit" and "shake". If you have other dogs in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Bob home. Meet Graham! This sweet little guy is the unfortunate reality of irresponsible pet ownership and poor breeding. Graham came to us with his mom and siblings after they had been discarded like trash on a busy road. While Graham has had a tough start to life, we know he is destined for greatness with a perfect family! Graham can be a little nervous with strangers and in new places, and he is likely under-socialized. Thankfully puppies are very resilient, and with some yummy treats and positive reinforcement Graham is quickly gaining confidence! Like all puppies Graham would benefit from positive reinforcement based training and socialization to help him become a model canine citizen.
