Story
This is my mom’s dog. She rescued him about 6 years ago from a neglectful neighbor. She has now gotten too frail to adequately take care of him. Coco is a sweet dog but he’s untrained. No one in our family has the ability to take him. We are hoping to rehome him before mom has to go to assisted living.

Story
Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Amelia is 8 1/2 months old as of mid-Aug, about 35 lbs.  She is a wonderful girl but returned to us for excessive chewing and being destructive outside.  She is housetrained (will scratch at the door), great with children, good with cats and other dogs, very sweet.  The chewing of most everything was just more than they could deal with.  Trained to an invisible fence.   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe.
