Story
MAGGIE MAY DOB: 01.01.2021* 49.0 lbs (as of 08/05/2021) Maggie is Awesome! She is friendly, super sweet, extemely loving, wants to please, good with other dogs (NO CATS). She listens well and loves to get love. Tummy rubs are her favorite. She also gives great kisses. She hasn't quite got the 'ball' game down yet. She's happy to chase it, stand over it, look at you and smile as she runs back to you (without the ball) to get/give love. You would be hard pressed to find a better companion. Lots of energy to keep up with you, but happy to lay by your side a watch a movie (just don't forget her tummy rub!). She is house broken, crate trained, fully vaccinated spayed and microchipped. As with all Paw Printz dogs, we will provide free training, if any is needed in her new home, and we will take her back at any time if it doesn’t work out for any reason. If you think Maggie would be the perfect addition to your home, send an email to: PawPrintzRescue@gmail.com and request an application. Adoption Fee: $200 Adoption Requirements: Application, Interview, Homecheck THIS DOG IS LOCATED NEAR FRESNO, CA *Age is always a guess with rescue dogs but here at Paw Printz we believe everyone should have a birth day so when the vet guesses at their age, we work out what would be a good birthday for each dog and make it so!

PARKER (yellow/golden) DOB: 10.01.2022* This little boy wants to be the center of your world. He loves having your attention and will let you know if he’s not getting enough of it. Parker is very outgoing and has lots of personality. He’s the life of the party! He loves playing ball and chase. His little game is to bring the ball back close enough to be JUST out of your reach, then he plops down and starts chewing on the ball, all the while looking at you with spunk in his eyes, doggie giggling inside! He’s playful and good with other dogs. Parker would love to become the newest addition to your home/family. Vet has given Parker a clean bill of health & he's had his first set of puppy shots. *Age is always a guess with rescue dogs but here at Paw Printz we believe everyone should have a birth day so when the vet guesses at their age, we work out what would be a good birthday for each dog and make it so! Review the process FAQ at our website.   Adoption applications can be found here:  http://labrescuefresno.org/available-labs/adoption-application/    Adoption Fees: Puppies, (2 years of age and under) – $400.00 Adult Dog, (3 through 8 years of age) – $350.00 Senior Dogs (9 years and up) – $200.00 Special consideration may be granted for dogs with medical needs or bonded pairs.      Tollhouse Cookie -  Yellow Female X, 3ish years old, approximately 45 pounds Tollhouse Cookie - A true “from rags to riches story” “Cookie” was spotted several times in the mountains near and below Shaver Lake off and on for about a year. She was spotted several times running across a 4-lane highway. In the heat of Summer and in the cold of Winter she tried to survive alone. She had no home. Her life consisted of looking for something to eat and hiding from people who either shooed her away or threw things at her. Finally, during the heavy storms and more than average snow, she had to make her way down. It was freezing cold and she was skin and bones by this time. Food was scarce and she was giving up.  She would hide wherever she could and come out only to find something to eat – someone kind spotted her and left some food out. She stayed in that area of Tollhouse. Lab Rescue was contacted and we set a trap. It didn’t take long for her to be caught due to the yummy food in the trap. Finally safe February 28th. It was a long, slow process for an emaciated dog like Cookie to gain back to a healthy weight. It was also a long process for her to gain the trust of humans. Her foster worked with her daily to gain her trust. She had obviously never been in a home, nor treated with kindness or affection. Fast forward- Tollhouse Cookie is in excellent shape now. She’s healthy, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated and sassy. Little by little her confidence grew and she has blossomed into an affectionate dog who gets along with other dogs. She has learned that there are good people in this world who want her to have what every dog should have – a home, good food and the love of a human who treats her with gentle kindness. Cookie will probably always be a bit standoffish with new people. She is looking for someone who will take the time she needs to trust. Cookie’s foster Mom is looking for a family that will give Cookie time to blossom in a new environment, and who will enjoy the rewards of seeing how much she can accomplish. Cookie is crate and house-trained and is about 2 years old. She gets along with dogs but would be fine as an only dog. She does have some drive to get those squirrels so we think a home without cats is best. If you would like to know more about Cookie, please fill out an adoption application at www.labrescuefresno.org If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. Meet Phoenix, the energetic and exuberant pup who can't wait to light up your life! This playful canine is an excellent addition to any family looking for a high-energy companion.  Phoenix is a social butterfly and generally gets along well with most dogs. Whether it's a rousing game of fetch or a frolic in the park, he loves his playtime with furry friends. His sociable nature makes Phoenix an excellent companion for both humans and four-legged pals. Not only is Phoenix full of energy, but he's also a sharp learner. He has mastered basic training commands and is always eager to show off his impressive skills. Sit, stay, and paw are just a few tricks Phoenix can perform flawlessly. With his enthusiasm and quick learning abilities, he'll be a joy to train and continue his education with.  It's important to note that Phoenix can become overexcited during walks and may bark at other animals. This is something that will require ongoing training and patience to manage. With consistent reinforcement and positive reinforcement techniques, Phoenix can learn to walk calmly and politely.  Despite his excitability, Phoenix's playful and affectionate nature shines through. He loves spending time outdoors, exploring new sights and smells. Whether it's a hike in the woods or a run on the beach, he thrives on activities that engage his exuberant spirit. When it's time to wind down, Phoenix knows how to relax and cuddle up next to you for a cozy night in. He may have bursts of excitement, but he also has a loving and affectionate side that will make you feel truly cherished If you are an experienced dog owner who can provide the structure and guidance Phoenix needs, he could be the perfect fit for your family. With a little training and consistent exercise, Phoenix will grow into a well-rounded canine companion. Are you ready to bring Phoenix into your home? If you're looking for an energetic, playful, and eager-to-learn dog, he is the one for you. Open your heart and give Phoenix a loving home, and you'll be rewarded with a loyal and fun-loving canine companion. Please apply at www.labrescuefresno.org and ask for Phoenix! Seeking highly qualified Forever Family to provide lifetime of love to adorable Labrador. Generous compensation package of love, smiles, and companionship provided! Hello new friends! Barney here! I have not always had the easiest life. I used to live with a family…well not exactly a family…some people bought me as a cute puppy, but after a short time and because I was acting like a normal puppy, I was relegated to their backyard kennel alone. Day and night. Being a “papered” dog didn’t do me a lot of good. I am officially ready to begin the application process to find my new Forever Family! I am placing this advertisement to find one (1) super amazing Forever Family. The primary responsibilities of my Forever Family include the following: Qualified candidates should be prepared to smile A LOT. My foster dad says I am simply a goofy joy to be around. The ideal candidate might have another dog; – my current foster has a little dog named Tito-the Enforcer and another lab. I have not met a cat yet, so I am just not sure how I feel about them. Compensation and Benefits: I provide a generous compensation package, including the following: Barney is an incredibly resilient Labrador who is full of love and is ready to devote himself to his forever family. His loving spirit shines through constantly and warms your heart. This sweet boy has come such a long way and gets more comfortable and confident every day. Barney has been under socialized because his “family” chose to ignore him most of his short life so he has a lot to make up for. He has become much more social and is doing well with the fosters dogs. He needs continued socialization and a dog savvy family who will continue his training. Because he was bored while stuck in a cage, all he could do to pass the time was, well, eat. With no exercise he became too heavy, so he is on a doggie diet until he’s at a healthy weight. He is great with people but because of his size, older children are best. We do not know about cats. This loving Labrador is happiest when he is cuddled up next to you. Do you have room in your heart and home to make Barney a member of your family? Apply to meet Barney today at www.labrescuefresno.org.   If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. Are you looking for a loyal and loving best friend? Guess what, you found him! My foster mom and everybody I meet keep telling me what a handsome and sweet dude I am. But I don’t let it get to my head.  I LOVE my people! And I absolutely love my walks – spending time outdoors, and exploring new sights and smells. And did you say water? I'm a Lab, so I love to play in the water! But if you’re not the adventurous type, that’s okay! I just need a walk to help keep me in shape and then I’m happy hanging out with you while you garden, do chores, or relax. Actually, I’m just happy doing anything! I like to show my excitement by rubbing all around your legs - like I’m auditioning to be the world’s largest housecat. Plus, you get the bonus of being able to shower me with affection without lifting a finger- I take care of all the petting for you! And speaking of cats, I ignored the cat in my last foster home. I’ve had some training in my lifetime and my foster mom says I’m doing great with my refresher training and learning new commands. I’d really benefit from having my new family continue strengthening and reinforcing that training. I am a quick learner and have picked up on the rules and routine of my foster home easily. My foster mom is so impressed with how quickly I learned to sit and wait to eat my meal until she tells me “all done”. I am totally potty trained and will ring my little bell like a reindeer when I need to go outside. I settle down when it is time for bed, and sleep on my comfy pillow next to my foster parents’ bed. I am all about my people and because I love them so much, and I'm not particularly fond of other dogs, I’d thrive being the only dog in my new family’s home. I am a Lab so I love my food and treats but my vet said I have some weight to lose, and I have been doing great with that! I, like many Silver Labs, suffer from seasonal skin allergies. My foster family has me wear these awesome sun shirts when I am outside to protect my skin. I get lots of compliments and I think I’m pretty darn cute in them, if I may say so myself! Because of my size I am better suited for a home with grown-ups. Logan came to Lab Rescue because of a promise made to a beloved friend who was very ill. Logan was very much loved by his owner. When she passed away, her dear friend saw to it that she kept her promise to her and to Logan, which was to find him a loving home. How could we say no? This gorgeous hunk is an easy guy to have around. He settles instantly, likes to follow you around but isn’t demanding of attention. He would love to have a forever home and live the life he deserves. Is Logan the sweet buddy you’ve been looking for? What are you waiting for? Fill out an adoption application at www.labrescuefresno.org and ask for Logan! Renewed hope, the warmth of home, love of family, and wishes that come true. That’s the story of Starla, the Philippine TV drama, and our Starla, found as a county stray who kept showing up on the road in traffic. Thankfully, someone finally caught her and delivered her to the Renewers of Hope, the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, who gave Starla a second lease on life. Starla appears to be a backyard dog who was never allowed in the house or given any attention. Starla has learned a lot at her foster’s house. She now stands by the door if she needs to go outside to take care of business. She is, however, an early riser and will whine in her crate when she needs to go. She’s learned to sit before meals but bounces like a kangaroo until told to sit. She is a slow eater but is motivated by treats which has aided in her training. She LOVES toys of all kinds, so much so that her foster has had to put away the toy boxes because Starla wanted every toy on the living room floor to play with. She gets along great with her foster brother; they play tug and chase every morning and evening and will even share a dog bed together. Starla is a sweet and loving foster dog who has come from the countryside as a stray. She's a good girl who adores cuddling and being close to her humans. Despite being a bit of a work in progress with her training, she's learning commands and showing great promise. She will need a patient family that can match her HIGH energy level and is committed to continued training. Due to her high energy and bounciness, she wouldn’t be a fit in a home with small children or someone with balance issues. She hasn’t quite figured out how to control her hind end, in fact, she may not be aware it follows her everywhere. Starla is also surprisingly cat-savvy and gets along well with felines. However, she does have a sensitive side and can be easily spooked by loud noises, especially fireworks, so it's best to keep her calm during these times. Overall, Starla is a gentle soul who would thrive in a quiet home with a loving family who can provide her with the attention and care she craves. Starla is available for adoption through the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.  She gets along well with dogs, and people after she warms up to you. She is a very sweet girl who is happy, loving and just wants to please and be loved. Please remember that at a year old, a Labrador is still in the puppy stage so a commitment to exercise and training will help Starla  continue to learn manners and be the best family member she can be. If you are interested in adopting Starla, please fill out an application at our website:  www.labrescuefresno.org/     If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. My name is Bo and I am so excited to meet you all!!! You can’t see it over the computer, but my tail is wagging a mile a minute! I am a happy, fun-loving Labrador and I am looking for my forever family. Could it be you? Keep reading to find out! I am a “Silver” Labrador…well, to be honest my silver fur really sets me apart from the crowd!  My gorgeous distinctive fur is not the only special thing about me – I am the goofiest, most fun, most playful fella you will ever meet! I have an unbridled enthusiasm for life. The world is full of fun and adventure – I just need to find that special family to share it with. A volunteer came with their dog to meet me and we got along well, we ran and played until I was tired and took a snooze in the shade.   I love to be in the house with my people and be right by their side. Luckily for me, I found my way to those Defenders of Dogs at LRRF and now I get to be inside with my foster mom all the time - it is fantastic! I love to play with the ball and sometimes get zoomies my foster mom thinks is comical, oh and I like water too – I would like a family that will give me exercise and take me out and about on adventures, go to the lake, the beach wherever they want to go, I’m in. I lived with children in my previous home and was wonderful with kids and other dogs, but I am not sure about those feline creatures.  I love to be in the house, so I am perfecting my house manners and I sleep quietly all night in my crate. I am working on my commands and leash manners, so I would really like to find a family that will help me continue to learn and polish up my leash skills and tricks. I am learning fast and I think doggie school sounds like so much fun – let's go together! Bo is a sweet big boy with an even bigger heart who is longing for a family to call his own forever. He was not socialized much at his previous home, so he takes a minute and then you’re his buddy forever. Bo is a young guy but past the puppy crazy and has a medium energy level. He will need a family who will be willing to make him part of their lives to thrive. Bo, like many dogs, is not a fan of fireworks. Bo adores love and attention and can’t wait to share his life and love with his forever family. Would you like to add this gorgeous lovebug to your life? If so, please apply at www.labrescuefresno.org today! This fun-loving guy is a playgroup rockstar, holding his own in the yard with other dogs and flourishing in social situations. If you're a regular at the dog park, prepare for Jell-O to be the life of the party! Not only is Jell-O great with other dogs, but he's also a total charmer around people. With his leash-trained manners, he walks like a dream, making him the ideal companion for outdoor adventures. Whether it's a hiking trip or a simple walk around the neighborhood, Jell-O is eager to accompany you. Did we mention he's an excellent passenger for car rides? That's right, Jell-O is more than ready to hit the road for your summer escapades. With his playful disposition and outgoing personality, Jell-O is the epitome of a social butterfly. If you're in the market for a friendly, large-dog-friendly fur buddy who loves meeting new dogs and humans alike, look no further. Jell-O is waiting to wobble his way into your life and make it sweeter than ever! A note from one Jell-O's biggest volunteer fans. Jell-O will love his human with his whole heart. He will watch each day to greet his favorite people. He is one of our best dogs socially with humans and dog play groups. He can charm our most difficult female dogs. He reads the girls and adjusts his play for them. He has patiently waited for his forever family. Could that be you? Please text me if you have any questions or you just want to hear how wonderful he is, (559) 355-7474.

Story
Hi. This is Mudbray. She is named after a Pokemon. You don't have to catch them all but maybe this one is meant for your pokeball. She has a very loving personality. She is playful, can self-play and loves the outdoors. She is constantly exploring new surroundings whether it's indoors in a new room or outside in a new area of the yard. She takes corrections very well. She is treat motivated. This helps when training her. She is very intelligent. She loves her treat ball. I fill it with Cheerios. She also loves ice cubes, in this heat, so do I. She will make a great companion to anyone looking for a traveling, hiking, or snuggling buddy. As great I think she is, she is still in need of guidance. Your patience in her training will pay off in the long run. Watch the videos I posted of her on the Animal Compassion Team website. If you are interested in Mudbray and would like to be considered for her, please fill out an online application for her from the Animal Compassion Team website. Only an approved applicant will be allowed to meet her. She can go home now, to the right fit family. I prefer to communicate by email. If you have any questions, my name is Anna, please feel free to email me directly at anna@animalcompassionteam.com I do my best to reply back as quickly as possible. I look forward to reading your application if you choose to submit one. Thank you for visiting this page.

Story
Hi. Allow me to introduce you to Quagsire. This handsome fellow is is ready to fill your home with fun energy. He is super curious about all the different smells that are in grass, on the floor and even in the air. He is intelligent and for the most part, obedient. He is still a puppy and on occasion he can't tell if I am serious or playing. Working on potty training outside, gonna need your help with that. He does really well on the home made pee pads I lay out for him inside my home. His favorite thing to do is go outside and run around. In this heat, he only goes out in the morning. The rest of the day he is inside free roaming in designated puppy proof rooms. He loves attention. He gets really excited and wants to show you the love right back. Treat balls filled with Cheerios are a great way to pass some time. He also likes ice cubes. He finds they are slippery and ends up chasing through a room before he catches it and eats it. If this has peeked your curiosity and want to find out more about him, feel free to email me. See some videos of him in action on our website www.animalcompassionteam.org If you are interested in Quagsire and would like to be considered for him, please fill out an online application for him from the Animal Compassion Team website. Only an approved applicant will be allowed to meet him. He can go home now, to the right fit family. I prefer to communicate by email.
