Story
Fernando is a very loving dog who wants nothing more than to play with rocks and cuddle his people. This affectionate young man does great with people of all ages and even cares for his special rocks like they're his own babies.  Fernando has been a rock star when it comes to his training as well! This intelligent boy knows how to sit, wait, 'leave it', and lie down. He also does well on leash the majority of the time but if he sees something he sees as a threat he may pull to protect but is easily redirected with a treat and a 'sit' command.  Fernando also loves to play with medium to large respectful dogs. He would love to have a canine friend or two! He would do best in a home with no cats or other small, chase-able animals. If this affectionate, intelligent, and goof young boy sounds perfect for your family, come down to meet him today! Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       February 11, 2025, 5:05 pm

Story
Meet Clancy! Clancy the cheese-weasel is a happy dog with your typical goofy boy personality! His overall friendly nature makes him suitable for most home environments. He would love a moderately active home where he can go on hikes, jogs, long walks, or even just some at-home enrichment time with his family!  Clancy is very intelligent and loves learning new things. He is incredibly attentive to his person and treat-motivated. This smart boy already knows how to 'Sit', 'Wait', 'Down', 'Paw', 'Leave It', and has good leash manners! Clancy has also been taken out on a 15-foot leash and stayed close to his handler meaning he may do well on off-leash hikes!  It's no secret here that Clancy is a bouncy boy! Despite his bouncy, energetic nature, Clancy knows to respect the boundaries of his people and fencing. He has been in fencing as short as 4 feet and knows to stay in his yard. He rarely jumps up on people as well and usually just does his initial, excited bounces next to you when you say hi to him. After seeing his Tigger imitation, staff introduced Clancy to some basic agility and he seemed to enjoy going over the hurdles! No surprise there!  Clancy has been introduced to many dogs here at the shelter and does well with all types! He is currently paired with two of our teenage dogs Miya and Cruz. He has a good balance of play and gives the other dogs space when they need it. This well-rounded boy has been overlooked for far too long and is waiting for his special family to see how amazing he is! He is a staff and volunteer favorite for many reasons!  Call the Ranch to meet Clancy today! Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. Meet Sid! Sid is an easy going, intelligent, and eager to please boy. He forms strong bonds with his people and is very attentive to his handler making training a breeze! He already knows his basic commands such as "Sit', "Wait', and does well on a leash. He is also crate trained a fully potty trained. Sid grew up in a home until his family moved and couldn't take him with them so he understands his basic house manners.  Sid is a go-to here for doggy playgroups as he gets along with most types of dogs with ease. He would probably thrive in a multi-dog household. Sid also lived with cats in his prior home so he may enjoy a feline companion as well!  Call the Ranch to come meet Sid today! Story
Meet Rango! This dashing boy is a staff favorite for his good manners and outgoing personality. He knows how to walk on a leash, how to be calm when meeting new dogs, and is comfortable in large groups of people. Rango participated in a 5k fundraising event with hundreds of people and he loved going around and meeting everybody! He does well with adults and children and would likely be an amazing family dog!  Rango is a true testament to resilience and love! He came to us with an old broken leg that had already started to improperly heal so this poor boy was suffering with this injury alone for a while! The vets figured the bones were already starting to fuse together as they were so we left it alone and the extra bone dissolved away. Rango never seemed to know he was injured and still acts as if nothing happened! He is active, playful, and completely healthy! The only indication that he was ever injured is that his back leg is slightly shorter than the other.  Rango has been paired with all types of dogs and does well! He would likely do well in a multi-dog home and he would fit in seamlessly! Could you be the person Rango has been waiting years for? Call the Ranch to come meet him today!   Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. Story
Olive is a 7-year-old McNab Shepherd/Lab mix. Her previous owners relocated to the city and couldn't take her because she didn’t get along with their other dog. I have a dog that I adopted from a shelter, and like Olive, my dog also doesn't get along well with other dogs. Because of her past experiences, Olive would do best in a home where she is the only dog. She may be fine with friendly dogs with careful introduction. Other than that, she is easygoing, happy to be with you, and content to stay in her place. She enjoy chasing a ball and walks well on leash. She is very athletic and cheerful :) According to her previous owners, Olive gets along well with other animals like cats and livestock. She is a sweet girl and eager to please you. Thank you for considering giving Olive a new home.
