Story
Foster Location: Boise ID Age: 2 yrs approx Breed: Lab Mix Neutered, Vaccinated, microchipped Adoption fee: $75.00 + $17.99 microchip registration fee DO NOT email us, you must fill out an application if interested: Adoption Application: https://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Elijah came to Fuzzy Pawz from another shelter in Texas at around 1-3 years old and only about 37 lbs. This mixed breed dog is an absolute sweetheart. He wasted no time snuggling up on the couch with his foster parents. With the help of his foster fur brother he has gained a lot of confidence but still needs a proper introduction to humans and pets. We have found this is best done while on a leash and then he is quick to come in with kisses and snuggles. He gets along very well with cats and is also crate trained. Elijah has a slight deformity on his front paw but we don’t think he even knows. His favorite game is extreme chase, parkour edition, around the living room with his foster brother. His small stature makes him very agile and he can leap over the couch with little effort which provides lots of entertainment for his foster family. If he goes too hard he sometimes shows signs of being a little sore but it’s nothing that a long nap doesn’t resolve. This little guy is the ultimate low maintenance dog with a short coat and his frequent naps. He will gladly spend the day snuggled on the couch or in bed. He walks well on a leash but most of his exercise is done playing chase and wrestling with his brother. While he wont be suited for hiking or long walks, he really enjoys short ones or exploring a park with his nose. Elijah knows basic commands and could really benefit from enrichment activities and continued training. His ideal home would include a confident, well adjusted dog that will play with him to keep him active and help build his confidence. He really just wants a life-long best friend, with or without fur.

Foster Location: Boise ID Age: Approximately 12 years old Breed: Labrador Mix Neutered, Vaccinated, microchipped Adoption fee: $50.00 + $17.99 microchip registration fee DO NOT email us, you must fill out an application if interested: Adoption Application: https://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Jake loves his people and is an easy-going amazing boy. He greets you at the door with his stuffie because he wants to play fetch. Tennis balls are life. So are dog beds. He is good on short flat walks. His hips are great for a 12-year-old Lab, but he will let you know when he wants to turn around and go back to the car (1-2 miles). He loves other dogs and would love a gentle playmate. He has not been cat tested but we expect him to be good with cats. He is good with kids but is big and doesn’t always know how big he is. He will sit and lay on your lap if you let him. As all labs do, he has a bit of a whine, but once he knows the routine he settles in. He doesn’t love the car, but with a seatbelt he sits tight and he loves sniffing new places. He is blind in one eye and it doesn’t seem to bother him. His teeth are great. He even loves to be groomed.

Foster Location: Boise ID Age: 12 years Breed: Lab/Border Collie Spayed, Vaccinated, microchipped Adoption fee: $75 DO NOT email us, you must fill out an application if interested: Adoption Application: https://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Meet Sox! Your New Best Friend Sox is a sweet and loving 12-year-old Black Lab/Border Collie mix looking for a forever home to spend her golden years. Don’t let her age fool you—this girl still has plenty of love and tail wags to give! Personality: Sox is affectionate, gentle, and absolutely adores people. She’s happiest when she’s by your side, soaking up attention and giving plenty of love in return. Good with Others: Sox gets along great with other dogs. She would be happy being an only-dog or having a furry sibling to keep her company. She also gets along well with kids, though she isn’t the most gentle when accepting treats from your hand. Because of this, we recommend any children in her new home be older. House Trained: No worries about accidents—Sox is house trained and well-mannered indoors. Loves Food: Like any good Lab mix, Sox is highly food-motivated, which makes her easy to train and a joy to spoil! Active & Enjoys Walks: Despite being a senior, Sox still enjoys her daily walks and outdoor adventures. She may take things at a slower pace, but she loves sniffing around and exploring the world. Healthy senior: Sox has some harmless fatty lumps, common for senior dogs, but they don’t slow her down or affect her happy-go-lucky personality. She is not currently on any medications. Sox is looking for a loving home where she can cuddle up, enjoy belly rubs, and share her golden years with a special family. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Sox might be the perfect match for you! Interested in meeting Sox? Reach out today to learn more about this sweet girl!

Story
Kriss Kross has a remarkable rescue story. When he was discovered as a stray, he was in dire need of care—bearing a thin scar around his neck & back left leg from being tied up. Additionally, his eyes are slightly crossed, possibly due to past trauma. He is able to see but may not have the acuity of other dogs. His back leg being tied caused it to grow incorrectly, giving him a distinctive, endearing hop when he walks. Kriss Kross was rescued not out of pity, but because of his sweet and happy disposition. Despite everything he has endured, he has a kind heart, and it was clear to his rescuers that he deserved a chance at a good life. Kriss Kross has been thriving in a safe and nurturing environment—something he has never experienced before. Although Kriss Kross is incredibly affectionate, he is initially shy and slow to warm up to new people. However, once he trusts you, he will be your most loyal and devoted companion. His greatest joy is being close to his people, soaking up pets and cuddles. While he is friendly and polite with other dogs, he always prefers human companionship. Due to his sight deficits, he is less suited for busy public places or new environments. Instead, he would thrive in a stable home with a safe outdoor space, such as a fenced yard, where he can explore at his own pace. Kriss Kross needs a special home where he can continue receiving the love and care he deserves. If you’re looking for a gentle, resilient dog who just needs a little extra patience to show his full heart, Kriss Kross could be the perfect match for you.
