Story
Whiskey is a sweet, fun loving and active girl! She is around 7 months old. She is a husky/lab/ greyhound at least that is what we have been told. This girl does like to cause some mischief when she gets bored so an active family with a fenced yard is a must! Antlers and toys that are indestructible are also a good help for keeping her out of trouble most of the time. She is great with other dogs though she isn't the best at understanding when they have had enough of her puppy energy. She would do best in a home where she has another dog friend to burn her energy and continue teaching her how to dog! She is working on walking on a leash. She is mostly housetrained. She is great with dog savvy cats but I would say no kittens for her at this point as she doesn't understand how big she is and wants to play with them a bit too rough. She is starting to like her kennel more but is a barker when you leave so apartment living isn't going to be the best option for her. She is ready to find her new family to continue teaching her how to be the best dog out there.

Hi! I'm Harley and I'm a 3yr old female lab mix! I am the SWEETEST girl you'll ever meet! I absolutely love people! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE to play fetch! I will drop the ball right at your feet to go again! After all of that playing, I love to cuddle up on the couch for a long nap. I am potty trained, crate trained and know all the basic commands. I even sit for you to put a leash on me! I like my space when it comes to cats but will tolerate them. I like fellow calm dogs, I'd much rather play fetch than wrestle! If you are interested in giving me a ball to play with and a couch to nap on, please head to hsuv.org and fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire!

Story
Hi there! I’m Rosie, a one-and-a-half-year-old Silver Lab. At first, I might seem a little shy and timid—I like to take my time to warm up to new people and places. But once I trust you, my true personality shines through! I’m a total bundle of love, with a bit of energy and a fun, bouncy side that makes everyone around me smile. I’m the kind of dog who loves to play and be the center of attention. Sure, I can be a little “mouthy” at times, but it’s all for the love and affection—I just want to be near you! I do have a ton of energy, so I’d love a home that’s ready for an active dog like me. When I get excited, I can get a bit jumpy, so I’d be happiest in a home with kids around 8 years and older, just so I don’t accidentally knock them over when I’m trying to say hello. I’m crate trained, and I already know some basic commands like “sit” and “stay.” I’d love to learn even more with some yummy soft treats—those really make training so much fun! I’m a big fan of toys too, especially the ones I can toss around and play with. I get along great with other dogs as long as they’re a bit more laid back and submissive than me—my brother and I lived together before, but he was kind of a bully and would steal my food and toys. Not fun! So I’d prefer a calm fur sibling who knows how to share. As for cats? I’m not really sure about them, so that’s something to figure out in my new home! Oh, and I love to jump! The shelter staff jokes that I’m part kangaroo because even though I’ve never tried to jump out of my six-foot kennel, I definitely could if I wanted to! I’d need a large yard with a tall fence, and a little more room to run around. A submissive dog sibling to hang out with would be an extra bonus! If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic, and loving girl who’s ready to fill your life with love and joy (and maybe a few jumps along the way), I might just be the perfect match for you. Come meet me soon—I promise, I’ll warm up to you in no time!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
’m a 1-year-old Airedale/Lab mix, weighing in at a glorious 63 pounds of wiggles, wiggles, and more wiggles. I’m basically a walking party with paws—equal parts love, zoomies, and pure enthusiasm for literally everything. Let’s just say I’ve got energy for DAYS. Like, if energy were a sport, I’d have a gold medal. Need a jogging buddy? Hiking pal? Backyard zoomies champion? I’m your girl. I bring the chaos, but in the most lovable way possible. 💋 I’m also a professional smoocher. Kisses? I’ve got ‘em. Tail wags? Unlimited supply. Cuteness? Off the charts. I’m sweet, spunky, and always ready to turn any boring day into an adventure. 🛖 Real talk: I’ve spent most of my young life hanging out by a barn (literally), so house training and crate training are still on my to-do list. BUT—I’m smart, eager, and totally capable of learning all the house dog things. Just need someone who’s ready to show me the ropes (and maybe toss me a few treats while we’re at it). 💁‍♀️ I’ve got a bit of a stubborn streak (I like to think of it as “independent spirit”), but that just makes me quirky and charming, right? Give me some structure, consistency, and a routine, and I’ll go from goofy chaos gremlin to well-behaved good girl in no time. 🐕 As for other pets—well, let’s just say I’m not a fan of other girl dogs (drama, you know?), but I could totally vibe with a chill, neutered male dog. I’ve even hung out with dog-savvy cats and didn’t cause a scene. Look at me, being mature and everything! 👶 Kids? Love 'em—but I’ve got a lot of bouncy energy, so I’d do best with kids aged 5 and up who won’t get bowled over by my excitement. I’m not trying to be a wrecking ball—I just have no idea how big I am yet. 🏡 I need a big backyard and a tall fence, because let’s be real: I was born to zoom. I’m fast, curious, and always ready to bolt after a butterfly or imaginary squirrel. So yeah, I’ve got a little learning to do—but if you’re up for a hilarious, affectionate, high-energy best friend who’s equal parts chaos and cuddles, I’m ready to make your life a whole lot more fun. Let’s be weird, wild, and wonderful together. 🐾💕

Story
Hey there! I'm Poncho, an 8-month-old Yellow Lab/Husky blend, and I’m basically the sweetest, happiest pup you’ll ever meet. I’ve got a personality that shines bright like a diamond, and I love to spread joy wherever I go! I’ve got a lot of energy and an even bigger heart, and I’m looking for a family who’s ready to match my enthusiasm. I’m still learning the ropes, but I’m pretty smart and a quick learner! I’m super food motivated (I mean, who isn’t?), so training is a breeze when treats are involved. I know lots of commands like “sit,” “lay,” “bed,” “up,” “down,” “leave it,” “paw,” and even “go inside.” Oh, and get this—I’ve learned to ring a bell on the door when I need to go outside! Pretty cool, right? I’m definitely ready to keep learning and become the absolute best boy ever. I love being outside—running, playing, and chewing on toys (and apples! They’re my favorite!). I’m crate trained and almost fully house trained, though I could use a little help with leash manners. I get so excited about walks that sometimes I forget to be calm, but I know I’ll get the hang of it with some guidance. I’m a bit jumpy and can nibble on people for attention, but I’m working on it. I just want to be loved! I’m great with dogs, so I’d love a canine buddy to play with. But because I can be a little jumpy and tend to nibble, I think I’d do best in a home with kids who are 12 years or older. I’ve got a ton of energy, so I’ll need a family that can keep up with me and provide a large backyard with a tall fence where I can safely run off all my puppy energy. I don’t know how I feel about cats yet, but if I had to guess, I’m more interested in playing than anything else. I’d love a family that’s active and ready to give me lots of love and structure so I can grow into the best dog I can be. I’m ready to bring my sparkling personality and joy to a family who will help me be my best self. Can’t wait to meet you!

Hey there, I’m Lala! I’m a 4-year-old Yellow Lab, and if you’re looking for a super sweet, energetic, and loving companion, I think I might be just the one for you! I’m not just a pretty face—I’m also extremely smart, which means I love to learn new things. I already know “sit,” “stay,” and “fetch,” and I’m always ready to show off my skills! If you want a dog who’s always up for an adventure, I’m your girl! I love being outdoors—whether it’s running around, playing fetch, or swimming (a kiddie pool in the yard during summer would be absolute heaven for me!). I can fetch anything you throw my way, so if you’ve got a ball, stick, or toy, I’m more than ready to play! I’m house-trained and crate-trained, and I walk pretty well on a leash. I’m the kind of dog who’s ready for both active outdoor fun and quiet cuddle time when we come back inside. I get along really well with larger dogs, so if you’ve got a big buddy for me to play with, I’ll be in doggy heaven. However, I’m not a fan of cats (I’ve never really met one, but I’d rather not find out), and I definitely don’t do well with chickens—let’s just say I’ve had a couple of "oops" moments in the past. But when it comes to kids, I’m great—I love being around kids of all ages! I’m gentle and would make an amazing family dog. I’m looking for an active family that can give me lots of playtime, love, and some space to run around and burn off my energy. I promise to be a loyal, loving, and smart companion who’s always excited for the next adventure with you!

Hi, we are unfortunately relocating and it’s becoming hard to find a place that will either allow dogs or allow dogs Maddie’s size. We are so upset to have to rehome her she’s such an amazing dog. She listened so well and she’s so sweet. She’s love attention, cuddles and just being under anyone in the house. We’ve had her since she was about 8 weeks old we got her from one of Austin’s animal shelter foster home. We are hoping to get her rehome by the time we will have to move or we will have to take her with us and find rehoming there which will make it a big harder for us since we are going into a Airbnb until our house is fully ready to move into.
