Story
A note from Dodge himself: "Hey there, I'm Dodge, a one-year-old Lab mix looking for a home to show me love. I didn't have the best start in life; hoomans didn't really try and make friends with me, so I'm a bit independent. But I'm seeing that hooman attention is kind of nice. I have already learned that I love scratches on my chest! Pure bliss. It makes me feel warm, fuzzy and loved. I ready to try things like snuggles, treats and toys. I can sometimes pull on the leash, because I'm so excited about walking, but a training collar or no-pull harness with help with that. And when it comes to other dogs, I seem to be good with them and we will know for sure if you bring your pooch to meet me. Plus, I'm a good watch dog! I'll bark if someone is coming on the property or to the door, so that's a good thing I can help with! I'm Dodge, and I can't wait to restart my life in my forever home! If you like a dog that isn't all up in your lap and business all the time, come meet me! We can hang out." ........ We do ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Story
"I'm Jackson, a stately 8-year-old pup. Folks say I have the most enchanting eyes and a perpetual grin that lights up my graying face. My journey here started when a kind soul brought me to the Staunton PD, saying I was a stray. Hard to understand how this happened to me, but praying someone will take a shine to an old dog with lots to offer. My hobbies are commands like sit and down, and nothing brings me more joy than belly rubs! I'm a big fan of rolling on my back and showing off my playful side; it's my way of keeping things light and entertaining. I recently went to the groomer and did GREAT! I loved every minute of my spa day. Now, when it comes to other furry friends, I have to admit I'm not fond of those feline creatures. Otherwise.. I'm a gentle soul, great with kids, and always ready for some fun and love. If you're looking for a charming older gentleman with lots of love to give, please consider me: Jackson." ........ Hazel Grace was adopted as a young puppy but sadly, if problems are not corrected appropriately in the beginning stages.. Small problems can escalate. Hazel Grace is scared of strangers and possessive of her home.. For this reason, she would only be successful in a home with no children (under 18 years of age) and no other pets in the home. Once Hazel Grace knows you though.. she is the sweetest and most loving dog… and we will continue to work with her as she awaits a family willing to give her a chance. Please help us make room to save more homeless pets!!!
