Story
Rosie!     DOB: 1/2022     Weight: 40lbs    Rosie is a gorgeous black lab mix who is now available for adoption! She’s currently in foster where she gets along fine with the other dogs. Likes to pester the cats, but overall does well with them. Loves her people! She came into the kennels as a stray, but after looking at her we realized something was a bit off. Rosie is blind/very poor vision. Despite this issue, she has learned the house and now gets around just fine. Her head is either stuck to the ground or up in the air, checking stuff out. She’s very playful and loves to chew on her toys and snuggle up with her fur buddies on the couch. She’s house trained. Doesn’t care much for the crate though and would much rather sleep in bed with her humans.  Her adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. If interested in adopting her please fill out an application on our NEW website. https://www.newliferescues.org . If you have issues, send us a message through our Facebook. Came to the shelter 1/2023. ***YOU MUST FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BEFORE WE DO ANY MEET AND GREETS. QUESTIONS? CONTACT pcpoundpuppies1@gmail.com Our standard adoption fee is $175 ($250 for puppies 6 months and under, or small dogs 20lbs or below) which covers a portion of the dog's vetting costs. The adoption process includes the completion of an application followed by an interview. Click here to submit an adoption application:

Story
Houdini!     DOB: 1/2022     Weight: 55lbs    He’s handsome, sweet as can be, walks like an angel on the leash, has a craving for adventure, and his name is Houdini! Appropriately named after dodging people left and right for several days on a running spree, then once caught and handed to us, busted out again . No worries though, he’s still here with us and doing fine! In fact, he’s become a favorite among regulars for being well mannered and easy to walk now. Houdini loves people, especially when they feed him lots of treats. He’s good with other dogs and cats! Rides well in the car. This sweet fella has no resource guarding issues, knows how to sit, takes handouts nicely, and tends to walk in a nice heel when out and about. His adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. Story
Gertie!     DOB: 7/2019     Weight: 50lbs   Sweet Gertie has changed a lot from the scared emaciated dog we got awhile ago. She’s now healthy and very lively! Gertie is house and crate trained (although she prefers to sleep next to her humans than in a crate). Her foster says she’s very smart and quick to catch on to things. She knows sit, lay down, and shake. LOVES treats and playing with her foster siblings. Gertie is a pointer/lab mix and does have some of the typical pointer qualities. Will point and stare at small wildlife, sometimes taking off after them. She also does this with cats. Should live with a confident dog as she get carried away and needs to be told off sometimes   Her adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee. Story
Buddy!    DOB: 2/2022     Weight: 55-60lbs    This is Buddy, but honestly, we probably should’ve named him wiggles. Always in a happy mood. Buddy loves everyone and makes the best out of every situation. He’s currently in foster where he enjoys running around the yard and playing with the other dogs. He’s loves having the company of another dog so an home with a playmate is ideal. We think he’d do ok with cats, but hasn’t been officially tested with any. He’s been well behaved in his kennel, knows how to sit, takes handouts gently. Picky with his treats, only the finest will do of course! He is house trained. Likes to chew so needs plenty of toys and needs to be crated when gone, until he becomes used to the place and can be trusted   His adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial. If for some reason it does not work out, you’ll be refunded $100 of your fee.
