Story
Count Droolsbury ended up at the Carson shelter. He was scared out of his wits. Who wouldn't be? He was surrendered by his owners because they were having construction done on their house and had nowhere to put Drooly. They called AC to come pick him up from his home. He sits on command and he likes to "talk". Drooly is a good boy that needs a good home. One that understands commitment. He is okay with very submissive dogs but would likely be best as only dog in the home at first.

Not good with cats,
Story
Al would do best in a home with a fenced in secure yard, older children. He wants to be with his humans as much as possible, either playing or at your feet. He has progressed well with his training.

Story
I am a 1 year old female retriever mix with some of the most beautiful eyes you will ever see on a dog. People here at the shelter aren't quite sure why no one has adopted me as I am very sweet, not loud, and am pretty good on a leash. I have taken to carrying my food bowl around lately but not because I am hungry for food. I hope to find a family who gives me space to run and play.

I am a 7 month female lab mix. I was brought in by animal control with my buddy, Molly. I am actually even more shy than she is, being pretty scared to even come out of my kennel. The right people, though, will allow me to relax and come out of my shell. I hope to find a home where I can play and get lots of snuggles.

Story
I am an energetic lab mix puppy who was brought in by animal control with my buddy, Maggie. We are both pretty shy and are often afraid to even come out of the kennel we share, but with the right amount of care, playtime, love, and snuggles, I will be right as rain and fit in with the right family.

Story
I am a well-cared for 3 year old male black lab who is up to date on all vaccinations, am microchipped, and neutered. I am pretty calm and laid back, but also kind of scared of this new environment. I am so ready to join my new family in a forever home

I am a 6 week old puppy who was found wandering around Marceline. I am quite lonely here at the shelter as there aren't really any puppies here my size, but I am glad to be in a warm place where people care for me. Come see me in the shelter and see if I'm exactly what you need in your life!

Story
Sniffy Longdroppings came from the Lancaster animal shelter. He is smart and loves to be close to you. He tries to give polar bear hugs and is learning that he gets more love when all four on the floor. He needs a strong leader to provide training and good guidance in life. He is afraid of going to the vet but who isn't a little scared of that. He is learning to be better around other dogs but will need continued leadership. Perhaps an adult only home without other pets would be ideal for Sniffy.

Story
I am a young girl with a lot of energy; my foster mom says I'm a spitfire! I met with the vet and I am doing great. I am scheduled for my spay soon and may have a small hernia fixed then, too. I have a history of some GI distress, but I am on some special food and it hasn't bothered me lately. I like to wear t-shirts sometimes when I have a bit too much energy and need to calm down. Extra time in my foster mom's lap helps, too. A perfect forever home for me will probably not have super young kids; older kids are fine. I like dogs my size, but get a little nervous around overly friendly larger dogs. I even made friends with an older cat who lives here! I'm crate trained and willingly go into my crate when I need some quiet time and at night and I sleep in it all night long. We're still working on consistent potty training. I'm picky about grass height and I don't like wet grass. I need a fenced in yard.
