Story
Lo Jack is defiantly one of the cool kids. He is about 2 years old and weighs about 60lbs. Lo Jack is a playful guy that makes friends where ever he goes. His BFF is Alfie and they can be adopted together or separate. They have lived together already for about a year and have a great relationship. We know asking to take two dogs is a lot right now. So you should know we do offer adopt two for one specials, on established pairs. Its heart warming to see dogs that were rescued together, get adopted together but its also not a deal breaker. Lo Jack is good with other dogs, but has not been cat tested at this time. He has met and done well with kids 8 and up, we recommend gentle, respectful yet durable children for Lo Jack, as he carries a hefty 60lbs of bounding bubbling love at times. Lo Jack walks well on leash, knows some basic commands, is food motivated, is crate trained and house broken once on routine. He has a go anywhere do anything personality and is ready for adventure. He also likes to just chill out and take it easy, rolling around in the grass on a sunny day and chasing butterflies. He is affectionate loves to be pet and does look to his handler and canine companions for direction. If you are looking to open your heart and home to a sweet southern gentleman or two, please consider Lo Jack and or Alfie to be part of your family. Story
Mick is an shy little guy. He is about 5-6 months old and weighs about 25lbs. Mick does well with other dogs and would do best in a home with gentle respectful children. He is working on how to walk on leash and is doing well with his house breaking and crate training skills. He is looking for a patient family that will give him the love he needs to come out of his shell more. Mick is fully vaccinated and spayed. Story
Meet Dio Dio is the life of the party! He is about 1.5 years old and weighs about 80lbs. Yes he is a big boy, but that is all the more the dog to love you with!!! Dio is the class clown, he is ready to make you smile or laugh, he is always nosing around for something to do. He does well with other dogs, has not been cat tested at this time and would do best in a home with teenage children and above. Dio doesn't have one mean bone in his body, but he has no idea how big he is. Warning for the adult laps out there, he will try to crawl into your lap if you let him. Dio is strong on leash but with some training and the right tools he does just fine. He knows basic commands, is very food motivated and eager to learn more. He is crate trained and house broken once he knows the routine. Dio is up for any adventure. If you are the outdoorsy type, Dio wants you to know that you is his type. Gardening, hiking, swimming , running, playing in the snow if your up for it, Dio is up for it. He loves to be on the go but that doesn't mean he doesn't know how to relax. He can sure kick back and take it easy when the time is right. During down time, once his energy needs are met, you will meet, one of the hardest nap takers I have ever met, passed out and belly up! If you are an active outdoorsy family looking to open your hearts and home to a guy who just loves everything about life, than please consider Dio! - Dio is one of our longer residents and has a discounted adoption fee. We are having to rehome griz because we don’t have the time to spend with him. He loves to throw and catch. He’s very active. Doesn’t like to sleep alone. I need someone to love him as much as I do but with another baby on the way it’s too much.

Story
Trixie is a 7 year old female Labrador Mix. Trixie is the life of the party and is always up for an adventure - especially if that adventure includes a car ride! She has a close group of staff and volunteers who she considers her best friends. She lets them know immediately how excited she is to see them! She'll wag her tail so hard that she wiggles and will face her back toward them to let them know she's ready to be showered with all the love and pets. Trixie is selective with her canine friends. We do not know how her temperament is towards cats and children at this time. To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Story
My name is Slayton! I am one years old and I weigh approximately 40 - 45 lbs. I am fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. I was turned into a County animal shelter, but I’m not sure why because I am such a loving, friendly boy. I get along great with other dogs of all sizes and ages. In fact, one of my favorite playmates is the Great Pyrenees in our foster home. I am a fun loving boy with a very happy personality. I love people and I really enjoy being with them. I love to be petted and played with. l walk on a leash and I ride well in the car. I don't bark a lot. I have a medium energy level. I'm good with kids. I don't know if I'm good with cats because the rescue doesn't have any. I am neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on my vaccines. I'm a wonderful companion with lots of love to give! I'm ready and waiting to go to my new forever home! Belly rubs are a must! A copy of my veterinarian records will accompany me to my new home. Once an application is approved, the foster’s phone number will be provided before an adoption decision is made. Email is the best method of contact. Applications can be found on our rescue website carolinacaninerescuenc.com
