Story
Joey is a handsome young, yellow Lab puppy who is about 4-5 months old and weighs 35 pounds.  From what we can guess, this super sweet, all-puppy, bundle of love is on his way to being a 70 pound adult family companion. He's ready to steal your heart and bring joy to your home!  His foster family calls him Joey because he resembles a baby Kangaroo with his long legs and adorable little face. Despite being found abandoned with his sister on a rural county highway in tennessee, he is super playful and loves to wrestle and run around the yard with his sister Crystal. He would thrive in a home with children and/or other dogs as playmates. He is currently in a home with two larger dogs and also cats, and does very well with them. He is happy in nature with no apparent fears and is extremely affectionate and trusting with people. He loves to snuggle as much or more than he enjoys playtime. If Joey joins your family, be ready for a lap-full of puppy when you sit on the couch. He will want to join you for cuddles and love!  As a growing puppy, he naps a lot between play times and will quickly find his favorite place in your house to settle in for a snooze. He will grow to be a large size adult dog, but shows all signs of remaining a big baby.  He is learning to walk with a collar and leash (this is new for him) and learning to use the doggy door to potty outside. He is making very good progress with both.  Joey would enjoy a fenced in yard or a rural setting as he enjoys walking around freely to sniff and explore his territory. Joey will make a wonderful companion to someone ready to share their home and heart with this amazing big puppy! If you are interested in adopting this handsome boy please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Mention where you live; city and state.  We are based in Nashville, Tennessee, where Joey is currently fostered, but we transport to the northeast every weekend.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 29, 2025, 10:01 pm

Story
Meet our very elegant and Extreme Queen Roxy!   This girl is a dream dog with the most passive and easy going personality you could ever wish for in a large dog.  At just 60 pounds and 4 years of age, this girl is a combination of Lab and Mastiff from what we can tell.  Her coat of dark brindle coloring is just amazing to see as it shines in the sunlight while she suns herself in the Springtime sun rays.   When you see how she acts in a room of busy and curious dogs who rush up to her to sniff and greet her (she is the biggest in the room) you have to know that this girl will be an easy family companion that can take on the most intrusive and stressful situations that come her way.  Some of her ability to buffer herself and not be reactive could come from her former lifestyle that was just not stable or predictable.  She has learned to cope with curve ball encounters and takes it all in with a laidback approach and attitude.  Chill is another word to define Extreme Queen Roxy.  She is a people oriented dog that will hang and bide her time just to be near her people.  She is very affectionate and loving and she fits right in without a hitch.  She is that gentle dog with a soul that is deep and touches your heart to want to give her a forever place to call her own.  Don’t hesitate to consider this remarkable girl who is housebroken, non-destructive when alone and easy to walk on a leash. If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 8, 2025, 11:55 pm

Story
Chevy Girl is just one of those adorable puppies that you know is going to take of herself in life and also the family that loves her.  She is a Hound/Lab mix that came from a very remote shelter in Tennessee where no puppies leave except when a rescue comes to save them.  This little blonde/tan girl has lots of adorable wrinkles and extra skin that tells you she has some growing to do and she will.  She was born approximately February 1st 2025.  Growing like an adorable little elf, her curiosity in life is easily noticed as she explores and climbs and finds a few good sticks to chew on in the backyard.   Her fur is soft and her warm brown eyes melt y our heart when you hug her and play with her.  She is independent in a good way and is not whiny or clingy.  She has no insecurities and never makes a fuss that you are leaving her sight and gone for a  while.  She is on her way to being a 45-50 pound girl that will be an easy companion and dog to have in your family life.  She is crate trained and working on getting the potty training down when on a real schedule that she learns is reliable.   She is good with other dogs and at this young age will be wonderful with cats.  She could benefit from a fenced yard and it doesn’t have to be huge either.   If you are interested in this pretty puppy please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Critter Cavalry Rescue can travel northward as well with puppies or adult dogs or cats on a transport van that goes northward every weekend.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 12, 2025, 12:45 pm

Story
Meet Loving Levi, an affectionate  3-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! Levi is searching for a forever home with a fenced yard and a playful dog companion companion or two. Full of life, love, and loyalty—the three “L’s” that inspired his name—this charming boy will be your loyal, fun-loving friend. Levi thrives on companionship and will happily be your “Velcro dog,” always close by. He adores humans and other animals alike, and while he’s not a fan of being left alone for long, he’s calm and content in his foster home, spending time with his furry friends when his foster mom is away. When she’s home, Levi loves curling up by her feet as she works, and he’ll always greet you with enthusiasm and kisses, making you feel truly appreciated! With his soft poodle coat and an adorable white patch on his forehead (perfect for giving kisses!), Levi is as sweet as he is handsome. Although he currently doesn’t live with kids, Levi is always gentle and polite around them, making him a wonderful addition to any family. He’s well-mannered in his foster home, uses the doggie door to go outside. Car rides and walks are some of his favorite activities, and he’s ready to join you on every adventure. Levi is a healthy boy—neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He’s just waiting for a family to share his endless love and loyalty. Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to saving high-risk animals like Levi.
